Over the past couple years the libertarian party seems to be gaining momentum, despite being around for decades. The internet and networking seem to be a big contributing factor.
11th house Aquarius being conflicted by Saturn somehow (the delay in large following)?
The official founding day was December 11, 1971 in Colorado Springs, Colorado
But that wouldn't tell the whole story.
Anyone want to chime in?
.... and I don't want to make this about which party is right or wrong.
Id just like to stick to astrological "facts"

Id like to start with Saturn in the 11th house of Taurus
Taurus: Earth
-Original 2nd house
•Security, values, wealth, culture, art, classical way of doing thigns
Saturn (controls Capricorn): Earth
•Limitation, organizational skills, structure, reality
The law and order of the planets
Saturn in Taurus:
•Reality of what wealth is. Achieved through hard work and dedication
•Works and gains wealth at a pace
•Enjoys classical cultural things
•Practical about work ethic ****BUT SATURN IN IN RETROGRADE****
Saturn in retrograde:
•Helps succeed in career - role is reversed from limitation to opening boundaries
•Becomes a builder
11th house - Saturn is the original ruler (Aquarius 11th sign)
•Hopes and wishes
•Friends
•Network circles that will help achieve goals
•Incoming gains/wealth
Saturn in 11th house
•Best position to gather gains
•Gains through speculated business
•Gains though network
•Not ones to show off gains or hopes
•Network circle of mature and older people (but what about in retrograde? Casts a wider circle?)
•Out to give what people want

Saturn in 11th house Taurus

So my interpretation of Saturn's location is:
Saturn-R in the 11th house of Taurus creates someone (something) that wants to build an organization that will benefit people. That is its hopes and dreams here.
It will use networking and be rather good at it. It says it will attract mature and older people, but Im wondering if retrograde wouldnt broadcast a wider net to include a younger audience (in Retrograde it makes it easier). Especially in todays world of Facebook and Twitter.
I think Saturn here is going to make the Party work at a slow and steady (Taurus) pace, but because its in retrograde it wont create any major blocks.

•Speech about darker side, secrets of life, speech wants to be about investigation of the hidden secrets of others by researching

-use to deceive or help people dependent on mars position
5th house

•Learning text
•Speculated Business
•The arts
•Interest in politics Mercury in 5th house
•Creative writer/publisher
•Art of mimicking
•Wants to learn (maybe good at learning the mistakes from other ancient texts/failed governments, etc)
•Makes good gamblers
•Self made wealth through communication about government and politics
•Needs to use creativity to get what they want
•Love to talk to children (Maybe this is where saturns more mature audience net will widen to the younger crowds?)

•Wealth made through communication ability (speech, text)

•Gains through speculative business My interpretation of Mercury's location:
Mercury here will put someone ahead with speeches and writings in the political field.
They are reaching the younger crowd through creative arts (Facebook memes for example)

Venus in Sagittarius
•Pleasure of love for knowledge
•Pleasure of preaching and teaching
•Pleasure of learning different cultures and foundations of religion and what it takes for a person to receive wisdom
•Wants to learn something that will give comfort
•Wants to learn and teach about worldly knowledge
•Likes mental beauty of physical
•Optimistic about life and pleasure

Venus here loves helping people through knowledge. They want people to know about other cultures & religions..
But when the 6th house comes into play (enemies) I wonder if other parties arent going to like that; so they create legal troubles for the Libertarian party (certain states are trying to block libertarian ballots, etc)
They genuinely want to help the people that are being hindered by some larger authority.

Now that we have seen where the passion lies (venus) Id like to look at mars (drive) in the 8th house of Aquarius
Aquarius:
•Network Circles
•Worldly desires of bringing the world together
•Network circles
•Logical/scientific reasoning/research
•Socializing
Mars:
•Soldier
•Will power
•Ability to fight/achieve goals
Mars in Aquarius:
•A little conflicting
-wants to fight, but wants to bring everyone together peacefully
•Wants to achieve, but very slow at doing so
•Up and down energy
•Mars (fast acting) is being forced to slow down and think logically
••Because of Mars Nakshatra placement, Purva Bhadrapada, it becomes more harmonious due to its affiliation with Jupiter.
-They make excellent speakers to the masses
-Passion can become a bit extreme
-Can be two faced
8th house:
•Sudden event (ups and downs)

My interpretation
While mars is a little confused about the whole, I want to fight, but we need to bring everyone together it works for them. They have an actual cause.
They are going to fight using networking and social groups and they are going to succeed at it.
They are a no BS fighter. They want to fight for the freedom from restrictions on sex, drugs, and "secret dealings".
They want to fight this fight because they want to bring everyone together to co-exist peacefully

Okay, so we now have the Passion (venus), Drive (Mars), Communication (murcury), and Teacher (saturn) looked at
Id like to take a look at the 4 and what they are doing together..
Venus is wanting acceptance and knowledge of and from everyone (cultural and religious). Mars wants to fight for it peacefully through Aquarius.
I think Mars and Mercury are working together here very well.
Mars wants to bring everyone together for a more peaceful unity and using mercurys creative way of educating mass amounts of people on the subject of politics through technological networking.
Saturn is helping build this. He is saying, 'yes, networking is the way to go. Give the people what they want (freedom/liberty). These network groups are going to help you gain the status you need, they are going to help you achieve the goals you want'
I think for a political party all these placements are exactly where they need to be.
It looks like the party is going to gradually become more and more as years go on. There isnt going to be some big BOOM in popularity though.
They are going to gain their recognition slow and steady and will be around for a long while.

Rahu in the 7th house Capricorn
Rahu:
-Connected to Saturn, the restrictions of what you want that you will receive after lessons

Capricorn:
- Reps the 10th house (responsibility, duty, discipline, organization, structure)
•Government aspirations
• Organized and discipline in goals
Rahu in Capricorn:
•Wants to manage people and organize things
-Working for government
•Wants to take responsibility, structure and organize it, but wants reward
(higher management)
•Wants to succeed in higher management and responsibility
•Achieve high levels of government, CEO positions
7th house:
•Legal Binding
•Marriage
•Trade/Business
•Court
•Business Partners
Rahu in 7th house:
•Clever business man
•Good at making money in business
•Deals with a lot of enemies in businesses
•Large amounts of fame
•Foreign business/trade/partners

My interpretation:
There couldnt be a more perfect spot for a political party.
They are really going to have that drive and obsession about gaining government power. They want to having dealings and partnerships with foreign countries and trade and they are going to be good at it.
Ketu:
-Reflection of mars, things already concurred
•Things you dont really care about
•Giving up and letting go
•Trys to teach detachment
•Blind to the world around Cancer:

Ketu in Cancer:
•Doesn't nourish the emotional side of things. (ie: religion)

Ketu in 1st:
•Makes one isolated
•Given up on material wants
•About the other person
•Pioneering person
•Well accomplished
•Get fame due to work
•Do not have ego
•Creativity comes naturally
Ketu in the 1st house Rahu in the 7th:
•Finds identity though other people
•Wants the relationship but then becomes critical of partners My interpretations:
I think Ketu in the 1st also fits into the Libertarian message.
"Let go of the mothers teat" (the government cant be doing dealings with all these social programs)
They dont want the government filling the emotional needs of the people. They are saying, 'Hey, we arent here to make you or you feel better about your religion, race, sexual orientation'
They have a very "the strong will survive" outlook.
Because of this I think it makes the isolated. Standing alone in the their beliefs, but through some creative work they will gain that fame and following Rahu really wants.
I think they are definitely looking for partnerships (ie: people who want to be leaders withing the group, ie: senators)BUT they are going to be very critical of what message that senator puts out.

-Then will guide to whats right
*Jupiter is not happy about this placement
5th house:

My interpretation:
Jupiter is just not enjoying this. Hes out to do the good in the world, but hes having to do it the way he doesnt like it.
Here hes going to have to dig deep for the information hes going to need, but luckily the 5th house is going to give it to him. On top of that hes going to be able to know HOW to relay that information.
I think its going to take him a lot of time to gather the information he needs and get it out there in the world, and I think because of that its going to delay his "children" (followers, party members, registered voters, etc)
