Donald Trump told the truth about the illegal immigration problem in the United States. So now, Trump detractors are reduced to speculation about how Trump Truth will damage the Republican Party...because even though they won't admit Trump told the truth, there's entirely too much evidence to argue directly against what Trump said! Oblique, off point attacks become the poison de jour!

Or...phony, absurd renditions of phantom phone calls which never ever happened are dragged out to suggest we're all immigrants to the US...except for native American Indians. So.... if that's true, then what's the problem with allowing anyone in the world to walk across America's borders in what is otherwise an invasion of illegal aliens? That line of reasoning is so totally absurd that only a far left Communist loon like George Soros could have thought it up!

On Sunday morning, June 22, 2014, Edward Horowitz, M.D. was crossing with the green light at 38th Street and Dodge, in Omaha, Nebraska. Out of nowhere came a speeding blue car and struck Horowitz hard with such a “horrific bang,” that he was thrown against the window of a U-Hall van stopped for the red light, and later died.

The woman driving the U-Haul became hysterical. A witness said a blue car hit Dr. Horowitz while he was walking in the crosswalk. The driver of the car that hit Dr. Horowitz then sped off.

The driver and a passenger abandoned the vehicle and ran off, but police caught up with them. The car was registered to Pedro Diego Antonio. Antonio was allegedly the driver.

Later, “Police say Pedro Diego Antonio…was arrested…on motor vehicle homicide charges…. Prosecutors say Pedro was three times over the legal limit when arrested.”

What do we know about Dr. Horowitz? Creighton University released a statement the following Monday afternoon after he was struck dead:

“…the…School of Medicine mourns the unexpected loss of Edward Horowitz, M.D.

“Horowitz was a passionate educator and, as such, has touched the lives of countless medical students during his tenure at Creighton University. His loss weighs heavy on the hearts of faculty, staff and students within the medical school and across the campus…Horowitz, born in Los Angeles in 1950, started a nearly four decades-long career at Creighton as a medical student.”

What did we know about Pedro Diego-Antonio? Not much.

“Police identified the driver as 31-year-old Pedro Diego-Antonio, born in Guatemala. Diego-Antonio was booked into Douglas County Corrections at 8:04 p.m. on counts of felony DUI causing serious bodily injury, leaving the scene of an injury accident and felony motor vehicle homicide.”

According to KEYV-Omaha,

“Diego-Antonio’s license is under revocation. He received a DUI in 2011 and two driving under suspension citations in 2014, including one on June 11, eleven days before he struck Dr, Horowitz.”

Nor have authorities answered how Diego-Antonio got a drivers license in the first place. He is an illegal immigrant. All we know is what Emily Szink knows. She writes for KMTV News,

“The state believes that Pedro Diego Antonio…is a flight risk so bond was set at $300,000…Right now Immigration and Customs Enforcement has a hold on him.”

Omaha, Nebraska is in the middle of the country where clouds billow over the hills and prairies and the indifferent sparrows skirt from one bush to another. Omaha is far away from the southern border. How can Omaha have an illegal immigration problem, too?

Well, the chickens must be slaughtered in Fremont, Nebraska. Mutual of Omaha needs their offices cleaned and their lawns cut and green. The Democratic Party needs voters and the Catholic Church needs to fill its pews. Illegal immigration is the answer to all these needs. And who pays? Dr. Horowitz paid with his life, that’s who.

One Omaha responder to the WOTV news story writes,

“Truthfully, Omaha employers bring and maintain undocumented workers. I worked at Mutual of Omaha and their cleaning staff had some who were undocumented…one told me she bought a Social Security card in South O. Her son lives in Mexico but she can't return to get him because she won't be able to get back into the US.”

It does little good to draw a line from blood in the street at 38th and Dodge in Omaha, to the state legislature in Lincoln, then on to the US Congress. They all are part of the rampant immigration lawlessness that contributed to the death of a good man. They will just look the other way, turn the newspaper page at breakfast and pour another cup of coffee. Some shake their heads and wonder what Donald Trump is up to.

Omaha.com notes:

“On Wednesday, April 22, 2015, Douglas County District Judge Shelly Stratman sentenced Diego-Antonio to 35 to 40 years in prison. Under state laws that cut most sentences in half, Diego-Antonio, 31, will serve 17½ to 20 years in prison. He then will be deported to Guatemala, where he has a wife and a child, prosecutors say.”

Imagine that. Deported to Guatemala after serving about 20 years in prison. Another illegal alien, Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, who confessed to murdering Kathryn Steinle on the streets of San Francisco, was deported five times, yet managed to return to the United States and commit murder.

Recently, Donald Trump declared himself a candidate for the office of President of the United States. He came out against illegal immigration and strongly stated that the southern border of the U.S. should be sealed, that he was the only person who could do the job, and that America needed to do this since many illegal immigrants were criminals and America is worse off because of them.

It is interesting to compare the statements made by Donald Trump to actual crime facts and statistics in the U.S. His statements have been portrayed as racist and generally unbefitting a presidential candidate. These criticisms have been forwarded by both progressive political spokespersons and news media outlets who, it is fair to say, are progressive or liberal in their leanings.

On this basis alone, their criticisms of Mr. Trump are interesting. Mr. Trump is characterized as a greedy capitalist who has made a fortune by exploiting the work of others. But in reality Mr. Trump has created thousands of jobs for Americans from all ethnicities.

Looking at the reality of how illegal immigrants are portrayed, it may be more accurate to say that progressives are acting as exploitive capitalists. They, and the defenders of illegal immigration, have always said that illegal immigrants are here to do “low paid jobs nobody else will do.”

This implies that their children and grandchildren should also be low paid. The only way illegal immigrants can ever obtain good jobs is by obtaining a good education, yet Democrats and their liberal enablers intentionally have successfully forced, through Federal regulation, all product labels, election ballots, and so on be printed in Spanish as well as English. This action permanently disables illegal immigrants and their children from ever obtaining good paying, English speaking, jobs. The progressives want them to be low paid, just as they’ve always wanted black voters to be low paid.

So here we have proof that progressives don’t want to pay illegal immigrants much money for their menial work. This is the exact attitude that they claim capitalists have toward the masses of workers. Mr. Trump has never said workers should be paid low wages, yet the liberals are taking this position and energetically defending it.

The objective observer may see this as proof that Democrat liberals, not Mr. Trump, are openly promoting the rhetoric of the worst kind of capitalism: the stereotyping of an entire ethnic group as only capable of demeaning work, based purely on their race.

Furthermore, since according to the 1996 Immigration Act it is a Federal misdemeanor to enter the U.S. illegally, Mr. Trump is absolutely correct that all illegal immigrants are criminals, simply because, as Trump’s critics admit, they crossed the border illegally. So he is right about that and his detractors are dead wrong. Furthermore, the second time an illegal immigrant enters the U.S. illegally, they have committed a felony.

There’s more. Big cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York have intentionally confined Hispanics into segregated communities. Currently Chicago has 14 wards that are supermajority Hispanic. This is done under the pretense of giving them better access to Congress. But it is illegal for non-citizens to vote.

And since Hispanics are here to do low paid jobs, and placed in highly segregated communities by Democrat liberals, their social position has deteriorated just as the position of black Americans had deteriorated after they moved north and progressive Democrats got hold of them. Today, the Pew Hispanic Center reports that the teenage single motherhood rate among Hispanic girls is slightly above that of African-Americans, and the Hispanic high school dropout rate is nearly double that of African-Americans. This may be seen by progressives as a great success, since it ensures that Hispanics will never escape the confines of poverty and housing segregation. And it’s all aided by use of the Spanish language.

This entire package of attitudes I have called “Racism Version 2.0” because these statements and strategy are exactly what Democrats did to African-Americans when they put them in ghettoes, ensured they had a terrible education, and condemned them to a life of doing a low paid job no one else will do.

Mr. Trump is also correct that the crime rate is high among Hispanics. While Mr. Trump is clearly not happy that so many criminal illegal immigrants enter the country, progressive Democrats don’t seem to care that crossing the border illegally makes them into criminals. That Hispanics make up 14% of the U.S. population and are 34% of Federal prisoners doesn’t mean a thing to liberals, who portray themselves as very sensitive to the humanitarian needs of those under their care. It should break their liberal hearts that so many young Hispanic men join gangs and end up in Federal prison. But they have never used this as an argument to stop illegal immigration. In fact, their response is to say “we need more people to do low paid jobs and live in barrios.”

The encouragement of illegal immigration through the southern U.S. border has created a lot of Federal prisoners, since the crimes committed by illegal immigrants mostly involved drug smuggling and immigration violations. These crimes are encouraged by progressive liberals who encourage illegal immigration simply because Democrats can’t bring enough legal immigrants into cities to suit their electoral needs.

President Obama has been releasing illegal immigrants from jails for committing felonies that would put all legal citizens into prison. This gives the impression that he is following the law and deporting more illegal immigrants than ever. Unfortunately, it also enables tragedies such as the murder of an innocent young woman in San Francisco by an illegal immigrant who had been deported, and allowed by liberal policies to return across the southern border, five times.

Progressives use offensive language in an attempt to bully Mr. Trump, while liberals love to pass laws that make bullying and racially demeaning language a crime. Democrat attacks on Mr. Trump’s accurate statements only serve to reveal their true character: that they see nothing wrong in driving another minority group into ghettoes, failing school systems, single motherhood, gang membership, and low paying jobs just to keep up the Congressional districts of Democrats and keep their biggest campaign contributors, the teacher unions, employed.

Apparently there are some who believe Trump should put himself out of business by refusing to buy Chinese or Mexican products he uses in his construction projects. Trump buys a lot of sheetrock, fixtures, wire, pipe and other construction products. So, the thinking of some is that Trump should tie both hands behind his back and make himself uncompetitive when bidding on construction projects. Don't hold your breath. Trump isn't stupid.

Trump isn't trying to put China, Japan and Mexico out of business. Trump is ripping US negotiators of America's trade deals which permit other countries to put tariffs on US goods while shipping their own trade goods into America free of tariffs...and/or devaluing their currencies which make US produced goods too expensive to compete in those markets.

Trump is pushing for a level playing field in international trade and that's a good thing for American manufacturing.

As near as I can tell, Donald Trump didn't say anything which isn't true. Since when do Americans knock people for telling the TRUTH? Truth telling is a virtue which should be spread...especially in political circles where the lie is usually king!

Several recent surveys show that a majority of Americans agree with Donald Trump that the United States needs to secure its southern border with Mexico.

According to Rasmussen Reports, 63 percent of Americans want the U.S. to gain control of the border, while just 30 percent want to make undocumented immigrants legal citizens.

As for President Barack Obama's immigration plan that would grant amnesty to as many as 5 million illegal immigrants living in the U.S., 55 percent of those polled by Rasmussen oppose it.

Further, 58 percent of the Americans surveyed think that providing a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants will lead to more illegal immigration.

During his campaign announcement speech on June 16, Trump — a real estate mogul running for president as a Republican — said America has an immigration problem.

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. ... They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems to us," said Trump, who defended his comments on Monday. "They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, some are good people!

"But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we're getting. And it only makes common sense. They're sending us not the right people. It's coming from more than Mexico. It's coming from all over South and Latin America, and it's coming probably from the Middle East. But we don't know. Because we have no protection and we have no competence, we don't know what's happening. And it's got to stop and it's got to stop fast."

Trump's comments were met with a mostly negative response, with businesses such as NBC and Macy's severing ties with him. Other critics denounced the comments as racist.

According to the Rasmussen numbers, Americans have a favorable opinion of immigrants who are living in the U.S. to working hard and trying toachieve the American dream. Trouble is, just 54 percent think that's what immigrants are doing here.

Trump told Newsmax last week he'd like to see Mexico pay for a wall built at the border.

"They have taken advantage of us for a long time," Trump said. "Between trade and between the border, they will pay for that wall. … Remember what I said: They will pay for that wall."

The only people illegals benefit are the wealthy who can hire them for cheap labor. I have no problem with anyone coming to this country legally. But if you come illegally you are a criminal.
I worked in a hospital where Mexicans came to have their babies so they could be citizens, we wrote of millions of dollars because once they had their babies they were gone and never paid a penny. It was our tax dollars that paid for them. I think most Americans are fed up with supporting them when we can't even take care of our own.

To be fair to Donald Trump, he has at least put the immigration issue on the map. Candidates usually sweep the issue under the rug and don't address it. They only say vague things like I am for comprehensive immigration reform without giving any specifics. Neither party wants to seriously address the issue and the Senate Immigration Bill is a joke.

That being said, There is a pretty low ceiling on Trump support. Seventy-six percent of Iowa Republicans said in a poll that they would NOT support Trump under any circumstances. The remaining twenty-four percent don't necessarily support him they just don't disqualify him. So Trump is fighting for support from a small piece of the pie.

Many people may not know that Companies send Notices to Mexico and Central American countries that there are jobs in the U.S. if they can get here...isn't that why our leaders refuse to make E-Verify law? "For those keeping score at home, Trump has now upped his list of charges against Mexican immigrants to include drug trafficking, murder, and the vague but ominous association with “tremendous infectious disease.” Conveniently the word "some" was not inserted by this hack reporter "against "some" Mexican immigrants.."

It is refreshing to hear a candidate address the issue of illegal immigration straight on instead of trying to pamper voters who favor illegal immigration. The truth of the matter is that millions of people are living in the United States illegally, and they are violating more laws than just the immigration laws. No one seems to be able to find them unless they want to attack a politician who objects to them. These people are not only violating the tax laws, but they are also violating the traffic laws and the labor laws. They are guilty of fraud when they use fake ideas and use social security numbers that belong to other people. The prisons are filled with them, and yet nobody wants to stand up and do anything about it. It is not a new problem so any candidate needs to know what they will do about the situation other than sweeping it under the rug by ignoring it or legalizing people who break the law.

Good Immigrants, be it Mexico or somewhere else, enter the U.S. the way it's been done
for 100's of years - legally. Trump is not wrong - a very high % of immigrants who ignore
the most basic laws to become a U.S. citizen, also don't seem to obey other laws of their
chosen country.

So, don't be shocked by the message, be shocked that it's taken so long for a single politician to admit it and take the heat for it - and just maybe that's the 1st step towards fixing a problem.

An immigration problem regarding neighboring Mexico is a farce. It's something that is allowed to happen. It is something that is crippling the United States. Without a wall, the States have become a dumping ground for most anyone on the Mexican side. Deporting criminals without prosecution in our states is a disgusting slap in the face to every honest American seeking safety in most any public place -- you'll get shot or raped! The only thing we need Mexico for is for produce and vacation spots for those not afraid to travel there. Take it from there. NOTHING gets better!

To the writer of this story and others who are attacking Trump, it is ILLEGAL Mexicans he is talking about. If you want unlimited ILLEAL Mexicans here I propose a 70% tax on only the supporters to support the ILLEGALS they want here. If you are not willing to pay the tax to support ILLEGALS fut the shuck up. So an over whelming majority of comments to this story bashing Trump are actually in support of him and his unvarnished, frank and honest take on the ILLEGAL Mexican aliens. Maybe the Donald is more plugged in to the electorate than the PC crowd of pandering, anti-American, pro world order progressives. Again, Trump is right. Illegal immigration is our biggest problem. More Americans are killed by illegals than by ISIS. And the amount of Americans that survive crime related encounters, must be astronomical, but of course, we will never know as the govt would never release those numbers. The media is hellbent on twisting his words trying to vilify him, but we won't fall for their shenanigans. A few weeks ago I would never have considered voting for Trump, but as of today he's the ONLY candidate I am behind 100%.

I'm hispanic and live in the city mentioned in the article. I have read the entirety of Trump's statements given all the hoopla surrounding them and not once did I read something that offended me. His comments are being taken out of context and news outlets are misinforming the masses.... Living in a border city and having worked in the county hospital Ive seen far too often abuse of the system by illegal immigrants. Look up bridge dumping... you'll be surprised how someone could dump a shot up, half dead drug dealer on the international bridge and our U.S. EMS crews have the obligation to pick up that individual, take them to the nearest hospital and have their care paid by U.S. Tax payers. Given the level of criticality of these people their hospital bills are in the millions. That's right, millions. That doesn't include high risk anchor babies and pregnancies. Im glad a Trump is shedding some light on our current immigration problem at the end of the day it affects all of us.

Problem is, politicians can't see that because 'truth' is a nasty little gnat that just won't go away and you can't kill it. Practically all media look down their noses at Trump for these politically incorrect comments. There is always a sneering, derisive tone to the articles, including this one - and especially Huffington Post articles.

The problem is that TRUMP IS RIGHT. He is the only one with the stones to say what needs to be said. All these media and politicians just want to avoid offending immigrants because it doesn't sell well. Trump puts it out there and is willing to suffer the consequences (of which there are many) for daring to say exactly what needs to be said. He shrugs it off and doesn't let it deter him.

I greatly admire Trump for doing this. He is a true patriot.

This country was founded on freedom and democracy . We have not had illegals tolerated since the formation of our government. Natives had no central government, were faction ing tribes speaking different languages and were often very primitive and brutal to their own people. The Mexicans lost the Mexican American war for good reason. Illegals are in our prisons, hundreds of thousands for crimes committed against Americans beyond illegal immigration. Obama , the justice department and the California attorney general are racist and did not address the murder if the woman in SF killed by an illegal this week. They only assist people such as blacks charging white cops in Ferguson . They want illegals to flood and vote out democracy.

Trump is standing by his original position. In a free society people are allowed to say whatever they want. If you are truly offended by what he said, DON'T VOTE FOR HIM! What is really scary about this ongoing story is the (PC) marxist mob mentality that will destroy anybody that has an opposing thought. His first statement was a rough statement. I won`t read random peoples insights but am asking for the Justice depts stats for the last couple years to support Trumps claim.

Trump appears not to understand that the LEGAL population is increasingly Hispanic.

20 years ago a naturalized Mexican Californian laid it out very simply to me...the Mexicans consider the Southwest theirs by ancestral inheritance whatever the govts agreed between themselves. California didn't ask to join the Union, it was, basically, annexed. As this young man explained, they don't need violence Or coercion to Retake their land..because they have larger families and would eventually pass us in numbers - through the natural order of things.

Now most of these people ARE legal, hard working people with more family back home. They will not appreciate Drumpf's desire to "make Mexico pay" and they do not appreciate his slandering "illegals" while also having them on his payrolls.

Meanwhile China's market is in freefall...

The prisoners about to be released are NONVIOLENT offenders, many marijuana possession cases etc, not "murderous Mexicans".

As per the link above California is now the third state to have more Latino residents - the legal kind and many citizens already - than white. More than a third of the entire state population.

So unless white folk start churning out babies and fast! the reign of the European immigrants looks to be drawing to a close.

It might be time to concede that what you like and reality arent necessarily the same. I just told you how someone else views it. .and he was not an illegal. California simply now has more Hispanics than whites. No preference involved, just a fact. There are also 10 million Other NonWhites here(many I f them may have one whitee parent) That makes whites the minority in California..tho the prison system is still more likely to allow white offenders to stay out of the big house than "minorities".

As to Trump buying cheap materials abroad, the phrase "made in" applies to manufacture not just materials. And "illegals" are on his payrolls here at home. So is he going to cop to that , or cop out by blaming underlings he is not properly monitoring?

As for your nonsense that Trump hires illegal aliens for his construction projects....another damned lie by lying leftists.

Trump doesn't hire construction workers. Trump lets contracts to General Contractors who contract out work to sub-contractors, none of which are supposed to hire illegal aliens. These contractors are responsible for vetting their employees, not Donald Trump. But, I'll go further and bet the house that if Trump found out a General Contractor or Sub-Contractor on one of his projects was hiring illegal aliens, that contractor would have his contract voided by Trump and be kicked off the building site.

You're fight a losing battle.
