So everything is someone else's fault. It's not at all possible that your president being endorsed by David Duke has anything to do with it?

Pus$y grabber in chief! #SADI had to edit b/c the P word is forbidden on LL, it's okay for Trump to brag about grabbing women by the Pus$y, but not to type the word? Okay Randall! IP: Logged |

Hugs to Teasel. Some new solution will have to be made, there may be an interim health care plan. Trump cannot derail healthcare, he will impose himself with a few tweaks. He is a Leo Rising with Sun conjunct Regulus, he needs to be seen as Magnanimous. He needs praise from all including opponents.IP: Logged |

The people of America have voted ! I congratulate you, let's hope for a good change :-)The socialists in Europe are in shock, and the media machine is already preaching doom and gloom, and crapping all over Trump. This is a typical rhetoric every time a conservative party wins an election. The media machine will play a major role in scaremongering and in cementing a deep division among the people for the next 4 years, brace yourselves. Truth is, the life of the people has improved in every country where a right wing or conservative party won, with those at the bottom of the wealth pyramid feeling the most of this positive change. It is a slow climb, it takes time to undo the mess, and it requires many changes in legislation, agreements and policy. But it is possible.

Congrats Trump. The world is still turning, my dogs are hungry and I still have to fix breakfast. Nothing has changed and I don`t expect it will. No wall will be built, no tax brackets or irs change et al... just puffing to get Americans to vote. I recall thinking an American movie star would not make a good potus and look at how that turned out... Ahriman has had his day and now we will see how it plays out on the worlds stage. Congrats gentlemen. ------------------ Partial truth~the seeds of wisdom~can be found in many places...The seeds of wisdom are contained in all scriptures ever written… especially in art, music, and poetry and, above all, in Nature.

Teasel, he will not repeal obamacare. Too much involved and too many affected. He can repair , modify what have you but I wouldn`t fret too much on a repeal.. Just pray he surrounds himself with a brilliant staff that is aware of reality vs wishfull thinking.

Juni, you have never been so wrong in your life. You are so used to presidents who promise and don't deliver. We have the Senate and the House. He is going to repeal Obamacare. He is going to lower taxes, just like Reagan did. He is going to reverse every Obama Executive Action. The wall is a tougher fight, though. Since you Dems love higher taxes and higher healthcare and higher energy costs, feel free to include extra when you pay those bills. IP: Logged |

I sincerely hope I`m wrong about a lot of things... but, do you seriously believe every Rep. senator or congressperson will go along with his repeals ect ? I don`t but I do see a whole lot of executive orders being pulled from the hat. Either way, the majority has spoken so the people get what they deserve so let it play out... ------------------ Partial truth~the seeds of wisdom~can be found in many places...The seeds of wisdom are contained in all scriptures ever written… especially in art, music, and poetry and, above all, in Nature.

Not a single Republican voted for Obamacare. We all despise it. We hold the majority. It will be totally scrapped. Republicans also want lower taxes. The ones who vote against Trump will be voted out of office. He will also take care of our veterans. Obama just let them die in the streets. IP: Logged |

I believe it is time to stop being devisive and look to the future. The rancor and hate of the past will NOT build a better future for anyone Tell us what is right with the world now not harp on what has been already done. "Dad will lose his social security, that he earned, and his job won't be enough to keep us afloat, so we'll be homeless. Thanks, guys!!"This is the worst kind of pathetic horseshiiite. Trump is THE candidate who refused to restructure Social Security. No SS cutbacks. Trump is THE candidate who said..quite publicly, that we made an agreement with those who paid into Social Security and WE WILL HONOR OUR AGREEMENT. Trump is THE candidate who refused to restructure Medicare. Then, we get this kind of "dog in the manger", irrational BS. IP: Logged |

For a full repeal AND replace on Obamacare, the republicans would need Democratic support - 60 votes are required for a full repeal and replace. This will be difficult to do...but there are other options. They can also just look at a reconciliation- which is a reduction on ACA spending to put it very simply. It will be interesting to see what the republicans put on the table for a replacement, but one thing is for sure, the Obamacare plan is flawed and does not contain spending. We cannot continue with the program and support it financially. IP: Logged |

Actually, 60 seats on the Senate wouldn't be required. Generally speaking, to repeal a law, you just pass a new one. But the Dems would filibuster it, and 60 seats are needed in order to prevent that. Obamacare is in a death spiral. Trump could put the final nail in the coffin by simply ordering the IRS not to enforce the penalty, which is nothing more than a tax. Then it would die on its own. Even better, Trump could use a reconciliation, which only requires 51 Senate votes and 20 hours of debate. This would only repeal the budget parts of the bill, such as the subsidies, but it would gut Obamacare down to nothing. And Trump would use Executive Orders to trim back the regulations that resulted from it, including wiping out all of Obama's. Plus, many Dems are unhappy with it, so gtting another 9 votes might not be so difficult to obtain. Bottom line, Obamacare is done for. [R.I.P.] IP: Logged |
