Which ones are you talking about? He had already said he wants to deport criminal illegal aliens (those who have committed crimes). He said that a while ago. He said he wants to keep the provision that allows for pre-existing conditions. We can all agree that's a good thing. And he is going to try to keep the provision allowing children to stay on their parents' plans, even though he admits that will be expensive. What's wrong with that? The repeal/replace will be simulraneous, so no one who has insurance will lose it in the interim. I admire Trump for caring about all Americans enough to be flexible. And on some terrain, a fence is more practical than a wall. I don't see any broken promises, just him being a bit flexible in order to help the most people.IP: Logged |

We watched the same program and you know exactly what I`m talking about.How about no special prosecutor because he don`t want to "hurt" good people. The joke is on you and I hope you can keep laughing through the next 4 years of deceit, hypocrisy and unrest. ------------------

He doesn't want to hurt Chelsea, whom is a good person and close friends with Ivanka. I get it. Obama will pardon Hillary anyway. But the main thing is to get a Supreme Court Justice on the bench ASAP. That alone, is enough to substantiate a Trump presidency. He never said Mexico wouldn't pay for it. They will. There are ways to ensure that. We could take it out of our aid to them. We could tax them. We could pay for it ourselves up-front and then get reimbursement over time using the methods outlined. I've already explained how a fence would bge better for some of the terrain. And you chastise Trump for having a heart and being compassionate? BTW, the person thought to be his AG said he will still pursue prosecution of Hillary.IP: Logged |

I know Trump will appoint a Supreme Court Justice who will defend and protect the Constitution and rule of law. I know Trump will lower taxes. I know Trump will cut regulations. I know Trump will wipe out Obama's Executive Orders (just as Obama wiped out Bush's). I know Trump will replace Obamacare and keep one or two good provisions from it if he can. I know Trump will revoke the Iran deal. I know Trump will go after ISIS with a fervor heretofore unseen. These are givens. It's not difficult to do any of that. Some of the other stuff will take more statesmanship and finesse. He may not be able to pull it all off. And I don't care. Hillary would have been the death knell for this country. Just lowering taxes alone and getting corporations to move back to the U.S. will create prosperity we have not seen in decades. Everyone in the country will benefit. IP: Logged |

Hmmmm, you were so confident on Hillary being locked up, a full repeal of Obamacare and a WALL being built paid for by Mexico.. I said the repeal was bullbutter and you vehemently disagreed with me.

Randall, I`m not saying you are wrong but the greatest amount of his supporters believed him hook, line and sinker. IMHO ,The uneducated white men are going to be furious. They are going to feel lied to and taken for a bigger ride then Hillary ever could/would have. ------------------

The repeal is tougher, because Trump doesn't have the 60 votes he needs. He could starve Obamacare a number of ways and kill it that way, but 20 million Americans would suffer and lose insurance for a time. Do you dislike Trump so much that you overlook his compassion and his wanting to make the transition smooth and simultaneous? This IS a full repeal of Obamacare for all intents and purposes. Trump just likes two of the only parts that have any merit, so his new plan will have at least one of them in it (both IF he can make the expensive one work). Also, Mexico WILL pay for that wall, either voluntarily or by distraint. As far as Hillary goes, she is still being investigated related to the foundation, and she will likely be indicted by a Trump Justice Dept., although, Obama probably told Trump (in private during the white house conversation where only the two of them were present) that he will pardon her. Merely speculation, but a good educated guess. Trump said he can't repeat what they talked about. Uneducated white men along with 8% of African-Americans, a large segment of Cuban-Americans, about 20% of Hispanics, and 50% of college educated women are overjoyed with Trump and still will be.
