Why has that not been a subject yet on here? Sooo many artists of this planet, if not the greatest of today, dislike or critize Donald: - Meryl Streep - Robert de Niro - J.K. Rowling - Stephen King etc. ... just to mention a few... Don't you think it's striking and considerable if artists & intellectuals reject a politician? In all past and current dictatorships artists & intellectuals were and have been one of the first to critize a dictator or any politician who harmed their nations IP: Logged |

The real artists and intellectuals wouldn't be making short jabs or acceptance speeches about hating Trump, which only feeds their ego...They would be out there helping to create the change they want to see.So many artists and intellectuals and that's the list you provide? Those are a few of the "greatest" you could think of? There are many celebrities, such as actors and entertainers that are vocal against Trump and his presidency...I don't know if they could be paired up with true artists with great minds. IP: Logged |

How are J.K. Rowling & Stephen King Hollywood? And what do you mean by far left? Do you include left wings and liberals as well? Or do you use that "term" only when describing real far lefts? IP: Logged |

I was referencing the award show, hence Hollywood. They turned it into a political tirade.IP: Logged |

What about him, and his ego? And his spending his entire day and night on twitter, it seems, insulting everyone that he can. He was taking jabs at others, during his entire campaign. IP: Logged |

What I saw at this presser is a dictator with a dictator speech fakingly staging him passing his business to his family with a family line up, an adulating Law-Firm-of-the-Year-in-Russia lawyer, an unprecedented group of paid cheerers (at a press conference?) and a pile of blank papers in the middle he introduced as the documents he had signed but forbid reporters to get near it (yet someone managed to take a closer pic), he literally used a PROP. Too chilling. A show I know too well and never wanted to see in the US. http://www.washingtonpost.com/b logs/compost/wp/2017/01/11/what-the-bleep-happened-at-the-trump-news-conference/?utm_term=.0fd930fba498#comments

Look how much Donald Duck is hated- and they even use humour- too much for a Donald Duck supporter i know
I know you are not at all an expert of history (you once stated that you have no idea of Nazism that's why i suggest this) - When a dictator or a harmful politician raises to power, artists and intellectuals are usually the very first (apart from the political opponents) to speak up. Every nation should be alerted when a huge bunch of artists and intellectuals speak up against the political leader, they should be alerted - at least i would be alerted

Noting progressive about Progressives. They're the most regressive specimens on earth; living by ever word spewed from the lower orifice of a 5th rate thinker from the 19th century. As for the Hollywood morons, who else is so self absorbed and narcissistic they have to band together and give themselves awards? Oh wait, that reminds me of the award Obama arranged to give himself. IP: Logged |

Aha. Are you sure you have never been diagnosed with Alzheimer or something like that?
And is it progressive to let the family rule like some f..... royal family? Is that acceptable? Is backwardness, going back to European 19th century customs desireable? Sure that would be the opposite of being progressive. Is Nepotism the new American right-wing movement? And i take from your weird post that you are never ever going to watch any Hollywood movie any more?

I'm not one of those people who thinks Hollywood should stay out of politics. They could make a pretty significant difference. What bothers me, is when some of them parrot made up stuff, like Trump mocking a disabled reporter. That has been debunked. And if you think otherwise, you may not understand how to google. All I ask is that if these celebrities are going to talk about politics and preach to everyday Americans, at least know what you are talking about. IP: Logged |

No, he didn't. It's beyond arguing at this point. So I'll say this. If anyone actually watched Trump's campaign this year they would realize he waves his arms like that a lot. It's all out there too, you can find it yourself. For better or worse, it's a form of expression. He's waved his arms like this talking about himself at times...You wouldn't realize this if you only watched a 30 second clip with someone telling you he was making fun of a disabled reporter. He's done this many times criticizing Clinton as well. While you may not like the execution of how he went about it, Trump wasn't mocking a disabled person, he was criticizing a reporter. Also, note he didn't actually mention anything about this guys disability. The fact is that this was blown way out of proportion to produce yet another bad guy story about Trump. Hate on the guy all you want, but do it for a valid reason... IP: Logged |

He didn't mock the reporter's disability. You've been duped by fake news. You're a patsy. Of course, you don't care about the facts or the truth.IP: Logged |
