Obama turns away 91 refugees right before he leaves office! Where's the outrage? http://www.thegatewaypundit.co m/2017/01/obama-refused-91-refugees-sent-back-castros-hell-hole-2-days-inauguration-liberal-media-silent/?mtcid=cf IP: Logged |

thegatewaypundit quote: The Gateway Pundit is a hard-right website oft cited by such scholars as Matt Drudge. The website spends most of the day complaining about Barack Obama and liberals, and the occasional flirtation with outright white supremacists. It is a fairly popular blog, allegedly getting 4-5 million views each month, once again proving that being popular doesn't necessarily make you right.

Maybe a strong leftist slant is more preferred for you. http://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2017/01/12/politics/us-to-end-wet-foot-dry-foot-policy-for-cubans/index.html?client=safari IP: Logged |

Turning away a bunch of applicants is not a blanket ban. Those people were not on airplanes on the way here when it happened.. when are you going to stop blaming Obama for everything Trump does?IP: Logged |

And, Randall, why aren't you praising Obama, since he turned people away, as Republicans would have wanted? IP: Logged |

It's not a ban. It's a freeze. I'm showing the hypocrisy of the left, hence the title. Obama also froze Iraqi immigrant applications for 6 months. Where was the outrage? Oh yeah, that's right--there was none.IP: Logged |

He himself calls it a BAN!!! http://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/826060143825666051 Also, it's hard to believe it's not a real muslim ban facing the fact that nations with large amount of terrorist groups are not included. His business interests might be one of the reasons. yeah, i know Randall explained the alleged reason to me: lame excuse, no sense, i don't buy it + where are his condolences for the victims of Quebec??? There was a terrorist attack in his neighbour country and not a single word of compassion? Maybe because the victims are Muslims? + look at this twitter account: is this the way a president should talk? Seriously? IP: Logged |

He can refer to it as a ban, but the order wasn't written by him. He doesn't have business interests in Indonesia, which has the largest Muslim population, or in most of the other 45 Muslim nations.IP: Logged |

40 Trump Hotels? Haven't check each one, but hunch says personal interests are involved. Plus, the need to disguise this as "not a Muslim Ban". Not working. Sad! You are too happy for your own good, Randall I see on Twitter, just now, that GOP suspended rules to approve Trump nominees despite Demo boycott. Politics are sickening to me these days. @Randall, I don't see how you can fail to differentiate between a President refusing certain people, and a President banning several whole countries. It's a matter of scale. Also people assume there is some vetting going on, on an individual basis. We assume there is information being gathered on people, and they may be refused entry accordingly. No Fly List. The fact that this vetting process exists (we think) makes it all the more difficult to understand why we need to ban whole countries. Where is there any reason given for the ban? Is it on whitehouse.gov? Or are people not even entitled to know? That is dangerous to me: when people accept draconian measures without question. IP: Logged |

Funnily enough, there is a coup going on in Romania as well, just as we speak, the worst in 30 years. Executive order passed in the middle of the night, after days of protest, by the newly elected, corrupt (former communist party), the pardon executive order, intended to release all corrupt politicians who are now behind bars. It was released at midnight (on purpose) and put thousands of people in the streets all night. I am just making some artsy banners to get back there. I'm happy for the same reason many millions of Trump supporters are happy...because he is doing exactly what he promised us he would. Trump didn't choose these 7 nations--the Obama administration did (the Terrorist Travel Protection Act). It's about keeping us safe. And the majority of Americans approve. I can't believe the left is for extreme vetting for gun purchases, but against extreme vetting of refugees from terror nations, especially when ISIS says this is how they will enter America.IP: Logged |

LeeLoo, It was just from Committee, not the entire Senate, so they are only violating their self-made rules, not the Constitution or any law. The nominations still have to be voted on by the entire Senate, but since there are 100 Senators and 52 Republicans and it only requires a majority vote... Two Republican Senators have announced they will vote against the Education Secretary, who so far seems to be the most controversial appointment, but that makes a probable 50-50 tie, so in that case the Vice President gets a vote and he will surely vote yes. ETA: I'm not sure about precedent. Suspending Senate or House rules is not entirely unheard of, but they usually have rules for how to suspend rules! IP: Logged |

The reason is that these 7 countries have no central authority. Their governments have collapsed.IP: Logged |
