No way. No POTUS does anything in 100 days. President Trump is the only one to try to keep all of his promises. He has accomplished many things via EO and has the best cabinet in history. And he's about to appoint a conservative justice to the Supreme Court.IP: Logged |

Yep everything is The Dems fault.. even tho none of them needed to vote to put this through. Interesting reflections from a GOPer on the whole farcical saga. I am sure Congress will do their best to pull the funding rug out from under ACA but they still got NOthing as they have had all alongQuotes and video .. the authors voice doesnt necessarily reflect my views tho he has some good points too.

Obamacare is a tremendous disaster and a huge mistake. It is doomed to failure. It tried to solve the healthcare problem by throwing (stolen) money at it, which was never the right answer, and in fact only served to enable and exacerbate the issues.The real problem lies in the bloated insurance companies and big pharmaceuticals, which are price gouging due to lack of regulations and proper controls. Obamacare should be completely, 100% repealed and replaced with absolutely nothing. The federal government has no business poking its fingers in things better managed at a smaller level. Citizens voting with their wallet is far more efficient and effective and <I>representative</I> of the people at large. Universal healthcare won't work in the US. You will never be able to force people to participate, especially when you try and steal their money via tax mandate. Insurance needs to be treated like it was intended to be - as coverage in the event of catastrophe or emergency - instead as something to pay in part for <I>everything</I>. Chronic illnesses should be covered by this catastrophic insurance. Preventative care should return to the individual, and in order for that to happen, the cost of medical care itself needs competition to drive it down. It would help if the exorbitant cost of medical school was slashed down, too. With more minimal insurance, the cost will severely drop and more people will actually participate to cover those who need it most. More people will take preventative measures if your average doctor visit doesn't cost $500 for a thirty minute consultation, as well. The problem is the implementation, as always. IP: Logged |

If ACA fails it will be because the Republican Govt care more about shaming Dems than people suffering. If they had had a decent plan the vote would have gone through. It was Repubs in crease for their jobs who tanked it by not backing it.Now it is time for some statesmanship and a superior plan or amendments to what we've got, not smurking and sitting on their hands watching it go down. Their funeral and probably many others too. They ran and ran on repealing and relaying it and they didn't have the goods. And "Day One we'll repeal the ACA" will go down in history.
