This is to prevent more gas attacks, which came from and which are stored at this base. It's not war. It's a warning.IP: Logged |

But doesn't anyone think its strange thatAssad would provoke this by a chemical attack.. especially right after Drump signaled he was not going to bother him? http://www.trueactivist.com/what-the-media-isnt-telling-you-about-yesterdays-chemical-attack-in-syria/ IP: Logged |

I recently had something that was too weird, pop up in my own life, so I don't know what to think when it comes to a number of things. I'm off to check the link. IP: Logged |

If Assad really ordered the gas attack, then Trump is justified in warning the Syrian Military Establishment, and will have Global Support for the same. If this was a false flag by Syrian Rebels, even then no harm done if Russian planes in the Airbase are unhurt. Politically, it makes no sense for Assad to do this though. He has played a positive role in stopping ISIL Terrorists, and is not responsible for any attacks on the West unlike ISIL and their sympathizers. IP: Logged |

I've heard that he warned Russia, but didn't ask congress. Wasn't he supposed to ask permission for this? IP: Logged |

Yes, teasel, hes not supposed to just shoot on a whimSeems Assad not only isnt hurting, he's p*ssed off now if he wasnt before. Disturbing a hornets nest is usually considered stupid, at best ignorant http://www.rawstory.com/2017/04/warplanes-from-syrian-base-hit-by-us- just-carried-out-airstrikes-in-homs/ IP: Logged |

It was a vital warning to all countries who commit crimes against humanity. ------------------ Partial truth~the seeds of wisdom~can be found in many places...The seeds of wisdom are contained in all scriptures ever written… especially in art, music, and poetry and, above all, in Nature.

Thanks, Catalina. That's what I thought. I agree that something needs to be done, but I keep thinking of all of the people who were supposedly afraid of Hillary starting a war. Now people are afraid that he has started one. IP: Logged |

I've seen the pictures and video of the children who died over there, and it's horrifying. So is taking health care away from babies over here, which is what is happening to babies that were looked after by a nurse friend of mine, before she needed to take time off because of her own health.

A vital warning? How about an invitation to come out swinging, just as has happened. A distraction from all the negative internal stuff. the base was so damaged that Assad launched planes out of there the very next day. We are so concerned about all those innocents and children that we have barred them from seeking refuge? Please. Military stocks up today tho.. guess it's all good? IP: Logged |

I was going to mention the fact that places in this country blocked refugees from coming here, too - my State was one of them.

Wrong. Other Presidents have done the same, including Clnton. According to the Constitution, Congress only has to get involved if it's declaring a war. And there are two federal laws saying the President can do this, one of which is the definitive War Powers Act. It's in our national interest, because that gas could find its way to being used on American troops in Syria. Destroying runways wasn't a goal, because Tomahawks aren't made for that, and it would require planes dropping bombs to crater runways. President Trump destroyed 20 of their fighter jets. It was defending the red line Obama declared. IP: Logged |

Hillary would have striked indiscriminantly and started a war with Russia. We warned Russia and avoided hitting their stuff.IP: Logged |

So why is Russia now ****** ? http://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/07/world/middleeast/missile-strike-syria-russia.html?_r=0 By the way: I heard that Hillary was on board with this. It didn't make me feel any better. Would you have agreed with her, if she'd done the same thing, as President? IP: Logged |

What would you have recommended the U.S. do? I think Assad is lucky hot headed Trump just left a warning on his doorstep. ------------------ Partial truth~the seeds of wisdom~can be found in many places...The seeds of wisdom are contained in all scriptures ever written… especially in art, music, and poetry and, above all, in Nature.

Trump warned Putin. Putin warned Assad, apparently. IP: Logged |

Russia only got a one-hour heads up. I would have supported it if Hillary did it, just like a lot of Dems supported President Trump doing it. As promised, Trump listened to his generals. They gave him options, and he chose the one he felt was best.IP: Logged |

Wag the Dog time imo. What was the Donald saying about letting your enemies know what you're going to do? Assad was prepped as was Putin. So glad my mum no longer depends on Meals on Wheels so she doesn't have to go without to pay for a bunch of war games. IP: Logged |

Meals on Wheels is doing very well being funded by private donations, so try again with the futility in hysteria.IP: Logged |

I have no idea what "futility in hysteria" is supposed to mean. But perhaps we should let the military run on private donations. Many of us dont appreciate paying for the endless war. And private donations can help out the polluters too. Perhaps you would like private police, private hospitals and private courts too? IP: Logged |

War gave you the freedoms to say stupid things like that. Just about anyone else knows that a despot like Assad cannot be allowed to kill children.IP: Logged |
