BREAKING: NAFTA Call With President Trump, President Nieto (Mexico) and PM Trudeau (Canada) April 26, 2017 sundance Art of the deal glaringly visible in less than one-half of a single day’s media cycle. Simply amazing. These phone calls are also further evidence of how much leverage the U.S. carries in the entire NAFTA Trade construct. [White House Press Release]Readout of President Donald J. Trump’s Call With President Peña Nieto of Mexico and Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada Late this afternoon, President Donald J. Trump spoke with both President Peña Nieto of Mexico and Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada. Both conversations were pleasant and productive. President Trump agreed not to terminate NAFTA at this time and the leaders agreed to proceed swiftly, according to their required internal procedures, to enable the renegotiation of the NAFTA deal to the benefit of all three countries. President Trump said: “it is my privilege to bring NAFTA up to date through renegotiation. It is an honor to deal with both President Nieto and Prime Minister Trudeau, and I believe that the end result will make all three countries stronger and better.” ### http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2017/04/26/breaking-nafta-call-with-president-trump-president-nieto-mexico-and-pm-trudeau-canada/ IP: Logged |

He planned on renegotiating all along. He just said he would terminate to bring in votes from his believers. quote: The US president admitted that terminating the free-trade agreement, struck in the early 1990s, would be a "pretty big, you know, shock to the system."

Actually, President Trump said he would renegotiate NAFTA and make it a better deal for the U.S. The President doesn't have the power to pull out of NAFTA completely. IP: Logged |

Actually your memory seems to be making excuses for him 😉 From his Reuters interview Wednesday:
On Nafta “You know I was really ready and psyched to terminate Nafta. You saw that, you wrote about it. And I said I’ve had it. I’ve had it ... I’m not looking to hurt Canada and I’m not looking to hurt Mexico. They’re two countries I really like. So they asked to renegotiate, and I said yes. IP: Logged |

Sure. It indicates some ability to adjust to reality..despite his condescending attitude still being v much in place. However youve missed the point (and made it at the same time) . Had Obama or any Dem made such an adjustment you would call it lies and flip flopping. Meanwhile Randall denies he ever said he would ditch it. You guys are as rabid in praise as you were in denial and demonization. How is your ability to adjust to reality coming along? Love or hate, we will get nowhere if everyone sticks to their predetermined trenches IP: Logged |

He said he was psyched and ready to scrap it and that he had been quoted as saying so. In the quote on this page from Wednesday. How open to interpretation is that? IP: Logged |

President Trump is im PA, and he just now said that Canada and Mexico want to negotiate, and if we don't get a good deal, he will "terminate" it. He also said the Paris Accord will be looked at over the next couple of weeks.IP: Logged |
