I loved that show. When I was up late on a Sunday night, for whatever reason. Not too often, but I sometimes look up clips on youtube. Paul Daniels and his hair are some of the highlights for me. IP: Logged |

To be fair it seems this was the second half of a tweet - the first half got lost in the shuffle. Also to be fair it doesnt take much to correct a typo in a half sentence tweet.. no one bothered.Had the whole thing been in one tweet this wouldn't have seemed so bizarre. Context can be crucial and this is far from the first time that people have been made to look bad by omitting or altering context. As Jeremy Corbyn said today, politicians are in the public eye 24/7 and it is THEIR RESPONSIBILITY more than the public's to be clear in what they say. .. And it is the press's responsibility to provide appropriate context.. and the readers to use discernment/multiple sources . I will note that when, for instance, Obama slipped and said 57 states the ridicule was beyond all reason as well, and it is being used to this day to pretend he didn't know the difference... right on this subforum However when Romney said Syria was Irans only access to the sea.. true negligence was exhibited.
