So.. comparing Hillary to Medusa is not a political statement? Im not encouraging Griffin but fairness in judgement. I didn't say Trump sponsored the image but there are myriad variations and they were on many different products aimed at publicizing him. I haven't heard one person here objecting to it and certainly no one from the Trump camp.. though I've posted several links and it is all over the internet.. and preceded Griffin's. The msm are certainly not alone in biased reporting, either. IP: Logged |

It could be argued that CNN MADE Trump president. He and Zucker were both after the same thing.. ratings. He knows the value of shock and outrage. IP: Logged |

"So.. comparing Hillary to Medusa is not a political statement?"I said it was a political statement. Griffin said holding a bloody head was a joke. "I didn't say Trump sponsored the image but there are myriad variations and they were on many different products aimed at publicizing him." Myriad variations? Like what? IP: Logged |

Sorry then, ethereal maybe i read you wrong. Yes it was a political statement.. but laced with violent undertones and so was Griffins. She can pass it off as a joke and play victim if she wants but it not only mimics the same theme but satirizes his continual references to bleeding women and evokes the goddess Kali.. it's a very political statement. An answer to his own and his followers' imo. Her wimping out doesn't change that. FYI i find them both reprehensible.. both available to be seen by children like all the Don's crass comments and entitled refusal to apologize, "talk nice" or "act presidential" "dignified" whatever.. which his fans claim to find so refreshing.

But, why are you trying to tie those images to Trump? Most, if not all, were created for a commercial purpose which Trump neither created or profited from. IP: Logged |

Am I tying them to Trump?Or am I pointing out that no one found them offensive.. in fact some of his supporters thought they made him look Heroic.. and he made no comment about them being distasteful or harmful to children. In fact no fuss at all was made. Both are violent, hateful and very personal images .. in extremely bad taste. Both could have been done without the suggestion of beheading actual people. Also I am pointing out the similarity to Griffin's pose... which came afterward. Though her being a woman also brings up the image of thr goddess Kali traditionally depicted in a very similar pose.. suggesting a more symbolic message about the state of the world/ empire which is actually MUCH more interesting If she realized that though, she hasnt had the balls to explain it.. Whatever her intent I find it ridiculous that someone would do something that powerful and then resort to tears and "poor liitle me" as defense against the backlash.. Who aired the Griffin piece on tv for Barron to see? Dare I assume it was the family's best trusted station, Fox? Who make a living out of bashing other channels for sensationalism? IP: Logged |

You just circled and made this about Trump's reaction. Honestly, if people who have been following Trump and his campaign haven't seen this shirt, I doubt he has. That's why there was no backlash. A Trump supporter created a shirt with no affiliation to Trump. That is different from a celebrity or person of influence suggesting assassination of a president. It obviously wasn't that horrifying otherwise we would've heard about it outside of Linda-Goodman. I also agree with you. I think that most of Trump supporters take this kind of image as heroic. He is destroying what stands in the way of making America great again...I'm sure there are political cartoons and memes that could be seen as similar to this. We don't make a big hoopla about those everyday, do we? It's not encouraging the beheading or death of Hillary, it's a symbolic reference. To make anything more of it is kind of just nonsense. We are not offended because it's not offensive. quote: Both are violent, hateful and very personal images .. in extremely bad taste. Yes, but at the same time, we can't really stop people from doing what they will. quote: Also I am pointing out the similarity to Griffin's pose... which came afterward. Sorry but that's bologna, lol. She did it for the publicity. She sent a message loud and clear but there was no hidden meaning behind it. quote: Whatever her intent I find it ridiculous that someone would do something that powerful and then resort to tears and "poor liitle me" as defense against the backlash..
I agree.

Sorry.. are you trying to tell me that the Don didnt notice tshirts, posters, coffee mugs and other whatnots with him as Perseus holding a beheaded Hillary? But a remark about his small hands is front page news thanks to him? What is he doing to make America great again? Continuing the war on terror, arms deals that Obama set up, removing pollution regulations, demanding personal info of all voters, and making an ass of himself because someone said his hands are small... please. He is the new face on the same game that's been played for decades now.. and if you think he's a hero.. well that's your problem i guess. There is a good side tho.. he could well be the last straw. CNN is in full psychotic mode...again.CNN screws up — again Oli Coleman June 30, 2017 Let’s call this one “‘F***!’ news.” We’re told CNN flew into a panic on Friday after it accidentally aired a fake National Enquirer cover during Jake Tapper’s broadcast. Tapper did a segment on his “The Lead” show about Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski’s claim that Donald Trump tried to blackmail them with a hit piece in the National Enquirer. During the piece, it showed a cover from the tabloid, which seemed to be about a scandal involving GOP senator Ted Cruz and his wife, Heidi Cruz. Unfortunately, the cover is — literally — fake news. The cover — which has the headline “Heidi Cruz: Betrayed by Cheating Husband!” and promised details on a “sordid threesome, sleazy love letters and sensational photo proof — has never appeared on the National Enquirer, according to sources at the magazine. It seems that it may have been created as clickbait. We’re told the network is taking the matter seriously, and that it has been referred to the networks standards and practices department for review. (Right, Check..just like all their other fake news stories that blew up in their little leftist faces) CNN didn’t respond to a request for comment. The blunder comes just a week after three news staff resigned because CNN had to retract a false story about supposed links between Trump ally Anthony Scaramucci and a Russian investment fund. http://pagesix.com/2017/06/30/cnn-screws-up-again/ IP: Logged |

Yes that's exactly what I'm saying. The fact that I have to google the exact phrase to find anything your talking about makes it totally possible Trump himself didn't see this. His team maybe. But it obviously was not as big of a deal as you want it to be. Of course he heard about an insult thrown his way by a popular morning news show. LOL. quote: What is he doing to make America great again? I was explaining the point of view some may have seen through the image you posted. Now this has nothing to do with it, lol. IP: Logged |

Fine Lyin Joe, trot your "Proof" out and let America have a good look at it. Hey Joe, don't you pretend to be one of the self appointed imbecilic "watch dogs" of the people's right to know? Where's your "PROOF" Lyin Joe? On another note, Barack Hussein Obama proved to be exactly what I said...and predicted he would be; a Marxist, Socialist, Progressive who would F-UP America one day at a time. A bungling, incompetent boob and empty suit flying under a false persona...and, the worst president in US history. IP: Logged |
