Funny. My Canadian friends have no such probs. And plenty ofAmericans go toCanada for meds and attention. A two way street, that..Just as there are millions of Americans living "illegally" in Mexico.. spending their American money in foreign economies.. their prerogative IP: Logged |

Okay, I'll playPALIN: We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada. And I think now, isn’t that ironic?
During the presidential campaign, Palin discussed how she and her husband Todd had “gone though periods of our life here with paying out-of-pocket for health coverage until Todd and I both landed a couple of good union jobs.” At the vice presidential debate, Palin recalled times in her marriage “in our past where we didn’t have health insurance and we know what other Americans are going through as they sit around the kitchen table and try to figure out how are they going to pay out-of-pocket for health care?”

In France, my aunt is being treated for cancer, she never paid ANYTHING, even the taxi to go to the hospital every wednesday.She's doing good, and we have cutting edge treatment here I don't know about canada, but in the movie sicko of mickael moore that I recommend :-) 2 members of his family come to visit him and take an insurance before to cross the border "in case" anything bad happen during their trip to the US. I have no idea what it feels like to have to worry about money when you are sick. Not have to worry about paying for your treatment, that is how it happens for millions of people throughout the world. I talk for the people with no insurance. It doesn't exist here IP: Logged |
