How embarrassing for the democrat party. They'll be hard pressed to get any Bernie supporters to vote for their candidates unless they embrace Bernie The Commie's Socialist Single Payer Health Care plan. That spells the doom of the democrat party and those who still have 2 working brain cells know it.Bernie The Commie is holding the democrat party hostage. Sanders 'litmus test' alarms Democrats Bernie Sanders' single-payer plan sparks fears of primary election challenges. August 8, 2017 Sanders's single payer health plan will haunt Democrats in 2018 Rick MoranBernie Sanders is on a mission to bring his "Medicare for all" health care plan to the American people and it looks like he is going to make support for single payer a litmus test for Democratic candidates in 2018. Sanders and his radical left legions still dominate the party, pulling Democrats farther and farther to the left while the country remains moderately conservative. Many Democrats are terrified at the prospect of having to support the unpopular idea of a totally government run health plan just to get past a primary challenge only to lose in the November election.......... http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2017/08/sanderss_single_payer_health_plan_will_haunt_democrats_in_2018.html

Pure spin, of course. quote: Instead, he advised lawmakers to focus on protecting the Affordable Care Act (ACA), as Senate Republicans prepare to vote on a plan to repeal and replace it, and crafting policies that would expand government-backed coverage for older and low-income Americans.
"[Sanders has] said many times over the last six months that we need to move toward a Medicare-for-all system, but in the short-term we should improve the ACA with a public option and by lowering the Medicare eligibility age to 55," http://www.attn.com/stories/17965/bernie-sanders-lays-groundwork-single-payer And your own link [the newly embraced politico] During the election Sanders was the most popular politician in the country. But the dems went for what they thought was a better bet. He has gravitated away from his single payer with this move. He wants to reduce the age for Medicare. However also in your link- quote: There is also longstanding grumbling over his refusal to share his campaign email list with other Democrats and, more recently, over his vote against a new round of sanctions against Russia and Iran.
This ^ has them more concerned.
