Fox Business News Host Regan blasts the bill:“Yes, I love the idea of lower corporate taxes,” Fox Business Network host Trish Regan said of the Republican plan on her show last week, “but I really do not like what they’re doing on the individual side.” The normally pro-Trump pundit who regularly guest-hosts on Fox News explained that savings that businesses will see would be offset by individual taxpayers. “My concern here is it’s going to hurt the individual. And so, effectively, individuals are carrying the water for these corporations — they get that great tax cut on the corporate side, but people are not gonna get it on the individual side.” The Republican plan cuts the corporate tax rate nearly in half. In order to pay for the permanent 21 percent corporate tax rate without increasing the deficit after 10 years, per Senate rules, Republicans allowed the tax cuts on individuals to expire. Noting that while campaigning, President Trump promised a tax cut for the working and middle-class Americans who supported him, Regan blasted the bill. “I don’t think it’s gonna be much of a Christmas present, it’s more like getting coal in your stocking because your tax bill is gonna go up.” IP: Logged |

This person sounds like a RHINO or just a fool to me. No, they had no choice; they had to let them expire, because they didn't have the 60 votes to make them permanent. They will be renewed. The Dems will probably be in power then, and it would be political suicide to take the cuts away. The cuts will be renewed just like Obama made the Bush tax cuts permanent.IP: Logged |

Small businesses account for 2/3 of all employment, so this tax bill will directly affect that with a 20% cut and same year expensing.IP: Logged |

Most people don't understand what same year expensing of capital improvements do for the bottom line of businesses...or why businesses would jump all over the opportunity to deduct it all against profits in year one. That money spent by businesses reverberates through the economy like wildfire. A very good move by President Trump and Republicans. IP: Logged |

I think there is a fundamental flaw in Understanding Macro Economics in the GOP, and this is why they keep cutting taxes to the detriment of the Nation. It is not how much percentage tax you pay with respect to what others pay but how much percentage tax you pay with respect to utilization of National Resources including the Time and Money used to maintain Armed Forces, Police etc. This is a very fundamental thought process. A billionaire puts extraordinary strain on a Nation's resources by demanding power, creates huge pollution, puts strain on Security for his assets, gobbles up more Internet Bandwidth for his companies, gobbles up more trees, paper, ink, Road Resources, Crude, Shipping, Shipping Security and so on. This is a legitimate reason for a billionaire to pay a higher percentage of taxes. Lets say no taxes are paid. Make it zero. Then every starving middle class will turn into 1792 mode. Every Soldier will turn mercenary and every Cop will turn into a street Warlord. That is how Nations get ruined. Those who call for cutting taxes to those who consume the most are taking away the Right to a Decent Living from those who are providing essential services at lower costs. A Billionaire charges half a million dollars a day for a Seminar. Let a Cop charge that to protect the Billionaire from gangsters. Let a Doctor charge that amount to perform emergency surgery on the Billionaire or his loved ones. How will society function then? Think and Introspect. Deep tax cuts that take away the basic entitlement of health care, education and food for the majority of lower and middle classes are a destruction of a Nation. ------------------ Astrology Articles New Services and short readings IP: Logged |
