Republicans are always at a disadvantage in the electoral college. Predident Trump flipped ten blue states red. Hillary won the popular vote due to the dense population of CA.

Gerrymandering has given the Repubs a huge advantage for several years now.

^ Since 2010, the same year citizens united was passed and corporations w/ the most money started buying elections. The GOP likes to get down and dirty and use every lowest trick in the book to win...understandably since protecting the billions of corporations is at stake. The supreme court is right now trying the case on gerrymandering

--The supreme court is right now trying the case on gerrymandering--

Though both sides have altered districts. The GOP have turned retooled districts into an art form. The point of gerrymandering isn't to draw yourself a safe seat but to put your opponents in safe seats by cramming all of their supporters into a small number of districts. This lets you spread your own supporters over a larger number of districts. And the way to do this is to draw outlandishly-shaped districts that bring far-flung geographic areas together. North Carolina's 12th district, which holds the title of the nation's most-gerrymandered, is a textbook example of this: It snakes from north of Greensboro, to Winston-Salem, and then all the way down to Charlotte, spanning most of the state in the process.

My Personal fave: NC 12th

And with the criminal obstruction/stonewalling of the O man's Justice I have little hope of sane ruling....shoot I would have been skeptical 5 years ago.

We can thank the Justices for Citizens United, and the election of a president. Gerrymandering? Doubt it.

Hillary the Corrupt outspent Donald Trump by more than 2 to 1 and still lost in an electoral landslide.

Jones in Alabama is outspending Moore by more than 2 to 1 and is losing to Moore.

Facts are such nasty, inconvenient things!

We will find out who spent more after the end of the Mueller investigation. You think all those Russian bots were filing their nails?

It is FACT

That the GOP excel at the who can play dirty better-- game.

Go ahead, ignore inconvenient truths.

Fees payed to the Russian Bots that played significant roles in recent elections?? In Particular the election of the current President of the United States?

You can play coy all you like, Russia & Russian Bots did indeed influence the out come of the election.

Sorry about your luck, but Jones winning isn't a good thing for the Dems, as you will find out in the mid-terms. By losing, we won.

Alaska is about the most toxic state in the country.. in terms of toxins produced by industry.. why? Because resource mining and production. You may think it is fine for companies to extract whatever wherever but there is only so much poison we can take and thr costs of living sick are mkre thang s balance tto thr benefits of drilling, mining and transporting dirty fues and heavy metals

I'm a great loser. The last time Alabama elected a Dem was in 1992, and he turned Republican, and he's still there. If Jones wants to keep that seat, well, let's just say anything is possible in the swamp.

That doesn't masks it right, though.

Drilling for oil in the arctic, when climate change is already a major factor (it reached 85 here two days ago... in DECEMBER), is a disaster as sea levels are already rising, and drilling here will only make the problem worse. Electric cars that do not rely on fuel are the way to go. Greenhouse gases being released into the atmosphere is a big reason for America's warming climate.

Local temps have nothing to do with global temps. Researchers (I use that term loosely) have been caught lying about readings that showed rising seas. CO2 levels have more than doubled, yet global temps have not increased in 20 years. The main greenhouse gas is water vapor, which we can't change. CO2 is just a small fraction of the total percentage of greenhouse gasses, and man's contribution is a fraction of that. Yes, CO2 has doubled, but it is still just a fraction of all greenhouse gasses, and global temps have been way higher in Earth's history with no humans around. CO2 is not a poison. It keeps the Earth lush and green, because plants require it. The real reason climate change is a thing is to redistribute wealth from America to smaller nations. The UN admits this. The Paris Climate Accord would statistically have a net zero result on lowering temps (just a fraction of a degree IF everyone did what they say they will, which they won't).
