These are the majority. They can vote on whatever they wish. We already knew President Trump was going to drill and release our rich oil reserves in the arctic, and we approve his message.IP: Logged |

Not cool. Majorities who did not accept Scientific Opinion in the past asserted that the Earth is Flat. Majorities enforced slavery and even established Fascism in Europe. Had the EPA been strengthened, and were to oversee any drilling, there was a chance that the Arctic Drilling would steadily work out but when GOP has allowed reckless fracking and now unregulated, unprotected drilling in the most sensitive Arctic Zone? That too passed in a Tax Cut Bill? This is CRIMINAL. A Criminal Decision taken by the Majority. Tomorrow, the Majority can ban LGBT, can disenfranchise people of color or in a very worst case scenario Force a Shariah Law of Christianity. Will that be acceptable? Democracy works with strong Institutions, Checks/Balances, Transparent Debating, Public Referendums and Consensus. Brute Majority Laws are nothing but Tyranny of the Ignorant. There will be terrible consequences for the future generations. We have learned nothing from the recent record Floods in Texas and Florida.

Drilling in the Arctic would not just be a crime against America but a crime against Humanity and Planet Earth. That is a billion years of pristine bio-diversity. In monetary terms, that is a 100 trillion dollars of Nature. It would be so much more easier to just patch up with Venezuela and buy their Crude, or just buy more Crude from friendly countries like Norway, Malaysia and Brunei.

Shell recently abandoned the prospect of drilling the arctic due to high costs high risks and dubious gains. Whatever the feasibility this is not a tax item, was slipped in to get a vote indirectly, and is part of the high pork content you would be screaming about if the Dems were in power IP: Logged |

Just fact Randall. The either/or world you live in exists only in propaganda. People will just believe you. You just tell them and they believe you,” I guess your Leader thinks he is smarter than Lincoln... at least in the gaslighting division IP: Logged |

We elect our Presidents via the the electoral college. Using that system, President Trump decidedly clobbered Hillary, with his states won 30 to her 20. The broken record mantra of "majority vote" is ridiculous, and the only reason she got more votes is because of the dense population of CA. We can't help who didn't vote, and so they chose not to have a voice. President Trump flipped 10 blue states red, and many Dems also voted for him.IP: Logged |

Hey, don't look now leftist lunatics but ANWAR is not the unspoiled, pristine, snow covered Artic paradise leftist loons make it out to be.The so called Artic Reserve site is a rock and boulder strewn barren wasteland so desolate most Artic wildlife avoids it. Leftists are liars. They don't oppose drilling in ANWAR because of wildlife in the area. These tree hugging, anti-civilization troglodytes want a "Little House on the Prairie" existence for Americans. No sale! By the way, who told you those pictures represent the area known as the Artic National Wildlife Refuge? IP: Logged |

When did you last have your eye enhancement prescription checked? As I posted next Denali & Yellowstone! the pics are from those places... It is criminal misfeasance to mine the Arctic IP: Logged |

Whether or not you value that land as real estate it does not belong in a tax bill itsa pork.It is typical of the Environnent Haters to assume that because a place is not beautiful that it has no significance to the ecosystem or wildlife. Even supposedly environmentally conscious folk do this Hence vast solar farms in the "barren desert" which is actually a rich ecosystem of its own.. and the insistence that drilling in the Arctic is not disrupting anything. As with Bears Ears and other monuments the landgrabbers for profit pretend not to notice that people and wildlife (not to mention sacred land and treaties) actually do have other uses for them. I doubt screaming though, it is the environment/planet/future after all. Issues that hold no traction for the aged representatives. IP: Logged |

Why would you post pics of Yellowstone when this conversation is about drilling for oil in the Artic? It is neither misfeasance or malfeasance to drill or mine where the natural resources exist that this country needs to power our economy. Your headband must be too tight. IP: Logged |

Umm...gerrymandering played a HUGE role in his win...it is the reason democrats haven't had the majority for many years. Gerrymandering is dishonest, the GOP don't have the confidence to win on merit so they resort to underhanded schemes

President Trump won because people were fed up with the status quo, and Hillary was the epitome of it. Hillary fell for her own hype and believed when the media claimed she had a 95% chance of winning, so didn't bother campaigning in key states. President Trump was going to two and three states a day. As usual, hard work pays off.IP: Logged |

Gerrymandering set the stage for him to win. That's why he won the electoral vote and she won the popular vote...pretty impressive even though she didn't go to 2 or 3 states a dayIP: Logged |
