After a solid year of sneering and ridiculing Dems for "making excuses for losing" you (and he) would do well to take your lumps on this one.. and if the Repubs do try to shut Jones out to take advantage of Strange's - unelected, now definitively rejected - vote, may their karma blow up in their faces.

This is part of that sea change you voted for and are so excited about when it goes your way... but the country has millions of people who don't want your way.

Bingo! This was clever strategy by the Dems who convinced Republicans to stay at home or go for write ins. Politics is about convincing others for victory. Every Republican who stayed back was convinced in one way or the other that Doug Jones deserved to win.

Moore was a flawed candidate. Only Flawed Politicians throw their weight behind a Flawed Candidate. Alabama refused to Settle for Less.

If Doug Jones performs well, he might win in 2020 too. He has 3 years to convince White Women to stop suffering abuse, to stop being afraid of their Fundamentalist Husbands and to vote for the candidate of their choice than blindly choosing Republican, even if a Pedophile. He has 3 years to recover most of 28% of Black Men who are suppressed/disenfranchised.

Let Democrats work hard on getting 100% of Democrat Voters out to vote. That will convince more Republicans to stay at home in 2018 and 2020. We need to see bigger rallies for social justice, for demanding prosecution of Killer Cops, for opening cases against Sexual Predators from any party etc.

97% of african american women turned out to vote! Democrat strength in alabama depends on immigrants and african americans. I'm sure the 40k black felons who registered just a few weeks earlier, helped in a big way.

The day before polls opened, it was announced that expected voter turnout was going to be 25% which i thought didn't sound right at all, i expected it to be much higher. Turns out they minimized voter turnout bc they didn't want the ground staff to be prepared for a high turnout...all part of voter suppression strategy. Actual voter turnout was 50%!! Voter turnout in the primaries was 18%
