As of now it looks like Republicans will take the House 230-205, a huge red wave has occurred in early voting. And I think $400+ million dollars were raised by RNC.In the Senate , GOP will easily add 4-5 seats. That means 2 more years of unfettered GOP rule. So a new Healthcare Bill is finally guaranteed in 2018? Obamacare to be repealed and replaced in 2018 itself? IP: Logged |

Latest figures are indicating 222-213 in favor of GOP. Senate 100% in GOP hands. The biggest factor for a slight shift to Dems is increased Millenial Vote Share. But will they turn out on Tuesday? IP: Logged |

This is NOT what is happening. Voters nationwide are being selectively purged from voter rolls by Republicans. Now, you tell me: Why do Republicans rail against so many American citizens exercising their right to vote? IP: Logged |

jwhop you’re a lost cause, so this is more of a public service announcement for those that live in a fact based reality. My mom has lived at the same address in Texas for over 30 years where she has always been registered to vote, as a Democrat by the way. She has never been convicted of any crime either, and she is very much alive. Yet earlier this year she received a letter requesting verification of residency and identity, and if she did not respond immediately she would be purged from voter rolls. She thought it was an identity theft scam fishing for information, and almost ignored it. I saw the letter and form that needed to be returned, and I thought it was a scam too. It did not look like an official government letter. She verified the address and phone number on the paperwork, and sure enough it was an official document, so she mailed in the requested information to stay registered to vote.
My mom has a common first and last name, so she was targeted to be purged off the rolls as a duplicate, although none of her information has changed in the last 30 years. No doubt it’s also because she is a registered Democrat that never misses a single election in a state that the Republicans have been holding hostage for 25 years with their dirty tactics and gerrymandering. She lives in Harris County, the most popuplated county in Texas, that is also one of the few blue dots in a huge sea of red(where hardly anyone lives). She’s also in one of the most notoriously gerrymandered districts in the country, which is how the Republicans have held onto Texas for so long. She got this letter at the first of the year, and I recall the time window to return the necessary documents was very narrow, I think 2 weeks. It would be very easy to put off if you’re busy with other things. Especially because this was just a few months after hurricane Harvey hit and dumped more than an average year’s worth of rain in 3 days, and decimated the entire area. That’s shameful to take away someone’s right to vote when so many have lost everything. Voter suppression is the R’s running scared and their only way to “win” is to cheat. Two of the last 3 Republican presidential “wins” the Democrats won the popular vote, so strategically purging voters is their only way of holding onto power. IP: Logged |

I don’t know where you’re getting your figures, but the Democrats will most likely take the House. There is still a narrow path to take over the Senate, but it’s unlikely. I don’t want to jinx anything, and the polls are BS, so I’ve been looking at the actual voter numbers. Beto has a shot in Texas too. Many betting odds were only giving him about a 1 in 4 chance of winning, but this was based on a 30% total voter turnout. So far Texas has 39.86% turnout just in early voting, and is expected to reach over 50%. That is an exponential jump in numbers unheard of for a midterm, and the results are unpredictable because so many of these people usually don’t show up to vote at all, even in general elections. Also the polls are being based on about 2,000 people give or take, some have as few as 500 likely voters being polled. There are over 12,255,000 registered voters in Texas, so it’s hardly a reliable sample. No one has a clue, and magic 8 ball predictions are probably more reliable. *Voters under 30 have a 500% increase in early voting in Texas!!! Seniors voted at their average early voting rate. The younger age groups saw the highest increase in voter participation. That does not bode well for Cruz. People love Beto, unlike Cruz. It’s crazy because people are running campaign offices out of their own homes all over the state, and even teenagers that aren't old enough to vote are knocking on doors for him. He’s created a movement that’s bigger than him, it’s finally inspired Texas Democrats to get in the game instead of just being spectators. It’s about damn time. Most offices didn’t even bother running a Democratic candidate in past Texas elections, further eroding any influence in local politics. I was born and raised in Texas, and ever since Bush Jr was elected governor, Texas Democrats have become increasingly apathetic. Most don’t bother to vote when the Republicans are winning by double digits. Texas is not truly a Red state. It’s a gerrymandered state where less than half of eligible voters ever actually vote. Also big oil has the state by the balls, playing puppet master to the all the empty suits at a state and federal level, and dominating every policy. This year is distinctively different. There is a true grassroots movement that has many Texans feeling listened to for the first time in decades, and getting to the polls in record numbers. IP: Logged |

"Voter suppression is the R’s running scared and their only way to “win” is to cheat. Two of the last 3 Republican presidential “wins” the Democrats won the popular vote, so strategically purging voters is their only way of holding onto power."It's democrats who vote for the dead, vote in multiple voting precincts, vote in multiple states AND...want the voter rolls stuffed with those who are ineligible to vote, who are dead and/or have moved out of the state or are in prison so they can continue with their voter fraud by using their names to vote. It's democrats who have been caught registering illegal aliens to vote, giving illegal aliens drivers licenses which is the pathway for voting illegally. It's democrats who resist every attempt to run fair and accurate elections. They resist every attempt of states to require voter ID to vote and now, it's democrats who are sniveling and whining about purging voter rolls of those who are ineligible to vote for whatever reason. Democrats Benefit From Illegal Immigrant Voting Why are Democrats so uniformly opposed to proof of citizenship in order to vote? For two years, GOP has had the Presidency, Senate and House. Voter Fraud is impossible with the Draconican Steps they took, including millions of votes of Natives, Blacks and POC Suppressed.Despite all this Voter Suppression, they lost huge vote share. Despite all the billions of Corporate Funding for GOP since Trump Tax Cuts for the Elite, GOP lost Vote Share. Despite a booming economy, GOP lost Vote Share. The main reason: Supporting White Supremacist Racists and Misogynists turned off the Millenials. GOP will get an extra 4-5 billion in the next 2 years but it will be an utter waste of Sheldon Adelson plus his rich circle's wealth. American Youth have an inherent disgust towards Fascism. Nobody wants Middle Aged White men & women to dictate to the Youth whom to love, how to live, what Human Rights to have and what to believe. Money cannot buy Millenials. That is the Lesson of 2018 Midterms. IP: Logged |
