Thanks for making my points.Diversity doesn't matter.
Academic excellence matters in university admissions. "There was no mention of my SAT score which had been higher than hers or the fact that I had been playing sports for years and was the Captain of my team. They had no idea of the painstaking hours that went into my college essay which I had nailed, and having read hers as well, knew was pretty damn good in comparison. They had no idea how many years I had worked to go to a school like UVA - making that a main focus of every choice I made in high school - not partying, not dating, skipping lunch to double up on classes like two period Organic Chemistry.

This is not a diversity issue, nor a Hollywood one. Its about using money to skip effort/ ignore ability
