Yes, both would be...'things'...if there was such a 'thing' as Christian Sharia.

?? It is. It may not be to your taste. It may not be the solution some believe it to be. It may have no basis in Christian theology. But there it is.

There it is? Where?
I'm not aware of any Christian Sharia movement. Further, it would be a contradiction in terminology. Sharia is Islamic law, not Christian doctrine.

"Christian Sharia" is used by the Left to describe Church influenced secular laws. The recent anti abortion legislation, for example. As white Christian Americans lose numbers and power, the belief is this group will make one last desperate, violent bid for control. Ofc as you know, the Left has encouraged fear of an Evangelical Christian theocracy for decades ( Handmaid's Tale). Christian Sharia is simply the latest term for all this.
It is also useful as a counter accusation against fears of enforced Islamic Sharia, drawing a false equivalency between the two.

Meanwhile ...

Some factions on the far Right espouse a return to ultra traditional Christian values in response to state secularism and increased normalization of various sins. eg. Pedophilia, 3rd wave Feminism, lgbtq+ etc. They use the term Christian Sharia as well. It's a desperate cry for normalcy amid the extreme degeneracy younger people are exposed to via the state/media. This response isn't new tbf. Puritans? The far right either rejects the Church entirely on grounds of its perceived Jewish roots, or it chastises the Church for embracing modernism. In short, the Western churches cucked. Christian Sharia is essentially a return to a strict, dogmatic, anti Zionist, pro European Christianity. Think pre Vatican 2, x10. The Church with muscle. Deus vult.

Oddly, at least in the far Right, this is almost exclusively based in Trad Catholicism or Orthodoxy because those MAGA Evangelicals the Left so fears are considered hopelessly pro ZOG and entirely Judaized. Funny how that worked out.

The hot steaming mess that passes for the lunatic leftist mind is in no position to define terms for the rest of civil society.

Christian Sharia is one of those terms dreamed up by that hot steaming mess and has no validity in reality. Rational people resist every effort by these diseased minds to re-define common words, religion, politics and history.

Now, if you can find a real Christian denomination using the words, Christian Sharia to define their own doctrines, I'll roundly denounce them.

In the meantime, I'll continue to denounce those with the hot steaming mess that passes for minds, like those of dailykos.

That hot steaming mess controls your entertainment media, news media, and academia. They set terms.

Civil society is backed in a corner. "Civil society" is a another word for white privilege.

What do you mean "reality"? Whose reality? Yours? Youre an old white man. Your kind is dying off and your reality with it. The world your ancestors left, the world you knew? You grandchildren won't know that world.

"Rational people" lol Again, as I said to Randall, your white European logic doesn't work in the third world. It has been soundly rejected. It will do nothing but further condemn you.

On any subject, there is only one reality.
All else is sophistry or self delusion.

You sound like you've given up and decided to go with the leftist flow. Too bad.

I have not given up. I am acknowledging a situation you are willfully ignoring. Your 'reality' is a fear based, self indulgent delusion.

"Think of the children!" people, over here:

Child killed in a mass shooting. But your guns take precedence, don't they? Before you say that banning never fixes anything, remember which thread you're in.

Because the solution to protecting ourselves from armed homicidal lunatics is to take away guns from all of the perfectly capable, responsible citizens out there?

SV, you sound very much like a moderate. We could be neighbors on the spectrum. You're on the left side, and I'm on the right, but we can wave. Or yell across the street. I'll bake you some cookies.

http://coloradosun.com/2019/10/21/colorado-abortion-rates-keep-declining-free-iuds-and-easier-access-to-the-pill-are-the-reason/

Colorado abortion rates keep declining. Free IUDs and easier access to the pill are the reason.

Health officials say Colorado has made huge progress in access to birth control in recent years

"Abortion rates have dropped again in Colorado, and health authorities are crediting increased access to birth control statewide.

Pharmacists have written thousands of prescriptions for the birth control pill since 2017, when Colorado became only the third state in the nation to allow women to get prescriptions for oral contraceptives at the pharmacy instead of only from a doctor.

State and federal dollars are funding free and low-cost IUDs — intrauterine devices that prevent pregnancy for five years or more — for low-income women and teens who visit community health clinics across the state.

Another contributing factor: the so-called morning-after pill has been available over the counter at Colorado pharmacies since 2013.

“The goal has always been access,” said Gina Moore, assistant dean for clinical and professional affairs at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy. “We are just really pleased.”
