I'll ask again ... how do we "gather up all the guns"? Talk to me about the manpower and *gasp* guns required to clear out east St Louis. Now estimate the number of fallen officers. Will we call in the National Guard? How many soldiers are we prepared to lose "gathering up" every gun in Detroit? Mexican cartels, well entrenched in the US, have military level firearms etc that would make the average white supremacist shiver. i love war games and i've never shot anyone and wouldn't without cause because games don't make people violent

the kinds of crime you're talking about probably would remain unaffected by gun control laws typically places like that and gang related **** involves illegal weapons which are easier to get than legal ones to begin with and will only have more of a market if guns are banned

there's a lot of social issues that get overlooked, like what you're mentioning among other things and the lack of focus on those is a big problem

Personally I fear it will be a bloodbath. Without the military, it will fail. And I dont believe the military is a sure thing. But that's beside the point.
