If I were CNN I would have happily paid twice that rather than release a public apology. 250 mill will probably damage that boy's life as much so as the witch trial against him did. IP: Logged |

He seems pretty level headed to me. I think he'll spend the $1.50 he receives after attorney fees wisely. IP: Logged |

I don't consider the kid winning his lawsuit to be bad news. Just the opposite.CNN and others engaged in a campaign to slander, libel and defame a high school student. It's long past time for these moron lunatics to be taken down. Perhaps in the future, they'll think twice about deliberately lying on the air or in print to harm the reputations of Americans. As I've said for a long time. Sue the bast*rds and make it hurt. IP: Logged |

And that is just CNN. He is also suing other news channels who picked up the story without fact checking. I am happy he is doing that. I remember when certain news outlet were trustworthy. The state of journalism in this country has gone down the drain.

Almost 15 years ago, we had a discussion about press credibility. Pew published a report..The People and the Press. They found that 18% believed all or most of what the Washington Post printed as news. For the NY Times it was 19%. CNN came in at about 28%. Since then, they've all destroyed their credibility even more, CNN most of all. IP: Logged |

But they're not being "taken down." And why would another settlement n a long line of settlements inspire them to "think twice?" The amount of the settlement will "hurt" neither their wallet nor their reputation. Only winner here is the legal team. IP: Logged |

Lin Wood, Nicholas Sandmann's attorney, will represent Carter Page in lawsuits against Yahoo, HuffPost and [Michael] Isikoff quote: Late last year, I planned to “semi-retire” to write & focus on @N1ckSandmann cases.Things have changed in past few months.@Yahoo, @HuffPost & @Isikoff falsely accused @carterwpage of being a traitor & tried to ruin him. I have agreed to represent Dr. Carter Page.#FightBack
