Not shocking at all; those folks are hypocrites too (and morons). They’re also not representative of this country.

The larger issue is the hypocrisy of the media and the medical experts directing the people what to do. Politicians place these restrictive orders and proceed to ignore them themselves for a joy ride on the lake. Medical personnel standing off against cars where people are properly social distancing while protesting, then proceeding to contaminate their preciously scarce PPE while applauding huge crowds (many lacking masks altogether) from mere feet away and shoulder to shoulder, violating all social distancing recommendations. Politicians shutting down businesses by force in areas with negligible numbers of cases.

She endured an incredible amount of unfair criticism, including some anti-Semitic attacks. All those who have insulted, harassed or threatened her and her family should be ashamed.”

Thursday, Acton praised local health officials, members of her team and those on the front lines of battling the pandemic. She also thanked her family and the governor — and the State Highway Patrol protective detail assigned to her after threats.

“Her knowledge, compassion and determination have set an example for all of us, and Dr. Acton’s extraordinary bedside manner and wise counsel have helped us all get through this pandemic,” DeWine said.

Asked why she quit, Acton said she couldn’t do justice to what amounts to three jobs at once. She said she now will have time to spend with her family, whose Bexley home has attracted protesters, some armed.

The move means that shipments of the drugs obtained by the federal government will no longer be distributed to state and local health authorities. The drugs are still available for alternate uses, so U.S. doctors could still prescribe them for COVID-19 — a practice known as off-label prescribing.

On Thursday, a National Institutes of Health expert panel revised its guidelines to specifically recommend against the drug’s use except in formal studies.

Our health director stepped down today, because of the constant criticism and death threats from conspiracy theorists/trump supporters. We were lucky to have her looking out for us.
