Hey Belage, the other day I wanted to share with you a Tucker Carlson video that talked about targeted quarantine that was excellent but I was not able to find it but today he talked about targeted quarantine again and went over the most recent statics and brought to light how this mainly effects the elderly but the elderly with underlying health conditions and younger folks with underlying health conditions, the people who are at risk are people with underlying health conditions. Is super rare for people to die of this who do not have underlying health conditions and even before coronavirus I often heard stories of that nature of someone young dying unexpectedly who did not have underlying health conditions so that is not new, that happens a low percentage of the time. "If you’re going to quarantine people, why not quarantine those at greatest risk? We balance imperatives in public health all the time. According to the NIH, the death rate from the smallpox vaccine has historically been about one in every million vaccinations. That’s considerably higher than the death rate from Coronavirus in this country for people under 45. To be clear: We are not arguing against the smallpox vaccine. Obviously. It’s one of the reasons life expectancy has risen. We’re strongly for it. The point is, a crisis like this requires rational decision making. So far our leaders clearly aren’t capable if it." @PhoenixRising, I don't think Tucker Carlson is advocating we round up the people at risk and pack them up somewhere. I think the idea is that people who are at risk self-quarantine, don't go to work, and shelter at home, just like the rest of the population was asked to do these past weeks. Shouldn't the people most at risk want to protect themselves by following these measures? and the rest of the population who is not statistically likely to die from the virus can continue to go to work, and still follow social distancing, etc... That is the idea... People have a hard time wrapping their mind around it, but if we get a second wave in the fall, I suspect this is the idea that is going to be put forth. It is going to be very difficult to get everyone back into doing shelter in place again and lose money yet again. Especially as the coming months will reveal the devastating impact on the economy. I think the politicians are already looking in this direction. In the state of Washington, the governor has issued a proclamation yesterday that protects the at risk population from losing their jobs and being fired if they decided to stay home or if they ask that their employer assign them to duties where they will not be exposed. This is a way to make it easy for people at risk to shelter at home while the rest of the population can continue to tend to their business. IP: Logged |

Not sure I understand what you mean because imo having everyone in confinement regardless of risk level (age and comorbidities) has been THE one size fit all solution we have implemented to deal with this virus. I think it will help to have a more tailored approach in the future. And who specifically is the majority that will try to wipe out the minority? Are you saying that most people are going to deliberately kill the elderly and the sick??? As much as I don't have many illusions about human nature, I don't believe that. But if that is what you are saying, then wouldn't it be even more important for that minority at risk to withdraw from the rest of the population and shelter in place as much as possible? Notice, I am not trying to change your mind. I am just trying to understand the logic behind your position. Thank you for your feedback.

The majority who are diseased, may have a tendency to patronize with their kind. They may spread the disease consciously. They will touch laptops in stores, they will touch stands in bus-stops..etc..I have seen videos of them doing that.I think government should acknowledge we have changed forever and institute 4 days a week starting immediately. The rest of the time people can work from home. Just mitigate risks whereever possible. I get it that those profiled ones who are at risk should also quarantine. That goes without saying and should be done, until this becomes manageable. Everyone indeed is playing their part.

4500 Americans died from COVID-19 related complications in just one day. On one side, Bill Gates is trying to develop a poisonous Depopulation Vaccine to take advantage of the fear, on the other side Red State Citizens are infecting hundreds of thousands by not taking precautions as they still think there is no Virus, even though those who called his a Hoax in February have also suffered or died from this Pandemic.Many will take HydroxyChloroquine as a Prophylactic and become Asymptomatic Carriers in Red States. I was stunned by the stupidity of GOP Supporters when they reused Social Distancing in Feb but they exceed all estimates.
They will ensure one million more avoidable infections and 30,000 more avoidable deaths of Boomers and immuno-compromised. I pray they do not then keel over and get a Bill Gates COVID-19 Vaccine... When Trump was saying the Cure was worse than the disease, I hope he was hinting at the Bill Gates Vaccine...

I'm not against Vaccines. It has helped against small pox ,I heard. Why no vaccine exists for HIV or even SARS to this date ? Hmmm. With the nano technology we have, governments can introduce these agents in to our bodies and track us down and get all information about us. When did the government ever was truthful to us? Staying home has worked for me, and people are allowed to go for a walk. 25 year old, taken off ventilator, sent home, got sick again two days later. Kidney failure, put on dialysis. Then his heart stopped.
