There are people in this world willing to believe the Taliban needed to be paid off to kill US soldiers. If that doesn't make a rational person want to throw in the towel, I don't know what would.

There's just one small problem. The DNI and the head of the CIA have debunked the NYT. The NYT has long been discredited as a reputable news source.

This is another attempt to damage the President leading up to the election. We can expect more of them in the next few months.
