On January 6th, there will be two hours of debate per contested state, for each chamber, which equals 24 hours. 24 hours for the Senators and Representatives to present all the evidence that this election was stolen. It will all be laid bare. If this happens - Pelosi is trying to stop it by changing the rules - it's going to be both Republicans, who didn't stand up for election integrity, and Democrats who are going to be voted out of office. Juni, did the Dems turncoat their party when they objected to the electors in 1969, 2001, 2005, and 2017? The truth is that they had that right, just as the Republicans do now. The difference now is that there is evidence of widespread voter fraud.IP: Logged |

Jwhop, probably because the courts refuse to get involved and order discovery, which would prompt an official investigation and actual presentation of all the evidence. This is the absolute very least congress should do.This fight extends well into the future, as congress and state legislatures must stiffen election security laws. Returning to paper ballots, and banning non-military mail ballots would be a start. The more steps placed in between a cast vote and the process of counting it creates risk. Court rulings are still required for the rash of unconstitutional changes made to election rules, though. This was probably the least secure election in our country’s history. IP: Logged |

I will add that a ten day emergency audit, if granted, would allow time for each of the states in question to come back into session, too. Once the state legislatures are officially back in session, they can vote on their own whether or not to de-certify, and begin to address all the problems surrounding the general election and its processes.The congressional investigation would comprise of five senators, five representatives, and five Supreme Court justices, iirc.
