The US constitution demarcates the people of the republic from the republic itself. The people are the fourth branch of the consitution besides the executive branch and others. It was ghastly to watch , what all was planned by the insurrectionists on Jan 6 as they stormed the capital. I use that word without knowing what it means. If it concerned just fraudulent election as apposed to tyranny in the country caused especially by a foreign power the perpetuators may not get away easily. China is not invading the US nor is Russia or the UN. If Trump doesn't leave office perhaps Biden will invite the UN and that time the insurrection would have been justified.

The pubbers acted too fast too furious.

The people are not the fourth branch of the government. We have three branches in the Constitution. Administrative agencies can be thought of as a fourth branch, but that is a complex subject.
