This also reminds me of the fact that trump did nothing, and left it to the States, so that he could blame the democratic governors, since blue states were the most affected at first. Governors were doing the best they could, at the time.

DeWine shut as much down as he could, and was labeled a RINO by rabid trump supporters. He and Acton had us doing really well, until she resigned, because she was getting death threats from idiots.

So the NYT finally decided to report that Cuomo under reported deaths from nursing homes by 50%.

The NYT didn't suddenly grow journalistic conscience. There were a number of legal actions by relatives of the deceased against Cuomo demanding that the true numbers be released. And the mainstream alphabet soupsmedia never covered those lawsuits. Only small local papers covered them.

And now that the numbers are finally released due to those legal pressures succeeding, NYT gets to come in and act like it broke the story.

The takeaway is this:

The health officials of NY state underreported nursing home Covid deaths by 50% to protect Cuomo.

If they can underreport Covid death counts, then converselyl, they can inflate death counts when it suits them.

Basically, the US covid death count is unreliable.
