I guess secession is off the table now. Anyone there? I have extended family in San Antonio who are still without power but otherwise ok, but the stories coming out are almost hard to believe. IP: Logged |

It has nothing to do with that, and everything with Texan leadership. IP: Logged |

It has everything to do with Biden's looney tunes plan to do away with fossil fuel electric production and leave Americans freezing in the dark. Which is exactly what happened to Texans when wind powered electric generators froze solid and wouldn't turn to produce electricity. Oh, not to mention the sun not shining during a blizzard which covered the solar panels. Nice going leftist lunatics. You're killing people with your hysterical insanity of doing away with fossil fuels. IP: Logged |

I took screenshots of what a Texan had to say about it, but haven’t uploaded them yet. I’ve seen people talking about it in a few places, though. Someone was angry that this was being blamed on the “green deal” and spreading fast on twitter, when she lives there, and knows the truth. I follow quite a few people from Texas, but have only spoken to one friend. She and her girls have firewood that was chopped by a neighbour, and they’ve been huddled together, reading and trying to keep warm. One woman I follow, said that she had water dripping from all of the taps, as instructed, but the pipes still froze, and they had no water. IP: Logged |

Things sound rough down there, Texas is not prepared for this kind of cold snap, why would they be?It seems like we have to be ready for all kinds of crazy weather events these days IP: Logged |

AOC and Beto have been helping Texans, this week. They are good people. I really don’t know what to make of Ted Cruz. IP: Logged |

So your quite certain assessment is based on the screenshot of one Texan?

I am glad tens of thousands of Texans are documenting the horror story. This documentation will help motivate the Public for mass infrastructure changes and re-connects to the US National Grid etc.If this was 2019, Trump would have said "Fake News", Texas is 100% fine except power cuts in a few homes here and there etc. And Democrats would have been blamed despite non-stop GOP Control of the State. It is like in India, Narendra Modi always blames Late Nehru [died 1963] for all problems even today.

Yes, I have family there. We have heard from all but one family member. Hubby's sister hasn't been seen or heard from in over a week. (or just before that wicked crash). My BIL has a convertible now. Hoping she's well and with someone that is good. IP: Logged |
