^^^That is kind of weird. The SDNY is bypassing the IRS and going after his tax returns. They are going to pass everything through fine toothcombs over and over, hoping to find something greedy IRS missed? How is this even allowed in a so called democratic society?Another partisan witch hunt on taxpayer's dime. oh well. History books will have a field day 50 years from now. IP: Logged |

I don't think they believe they'll find anything illegal or incriminating in Trump's tax returns. The game is to show that Trump took large losses in previous years and wrote those losses off against future profits. Then, they call their favorite slimes at the NY Times and Washington Post so stories can be written about Trump 'not paying his fair share of taxes'. Democrats are desperate to tarnish Trump to keep him out of the 2024 presidential election. IP: Logged |

Inflating a property to take big loans and then deflating it to avoid taxes? In some countries it is not a crime, but my understanding is that it is a crime in the USA. IRS was under Trump for 4 years, nobody ****** off a Mob Boss in Power. 3 of Trump's Accounts/Mgmt Team of his Casino died in a mysterious chopper crash in 1989. Since then nobody crosses Trump. Wrong on all counts. President Trump wouldn’t give the Dems the satisfaction. He trolled them. He doesn’t like being told what to do. You Trump haters are just going to be disappointed yet again. People taking the 5th does not carry the presumption of guilt. In this country, we do not have to testify in our own defense. The Dems who made such an insinuation are either complete idiots or thought the public are. This is a core principle of American legal theory. It is not allowed to be considered by juries. Just because someone is not eager to give you his tax returns for scrutiny doesn't mean there is something incriminating in them. whatever happened to privacy? Why should anyone's tax returns be fodder for public scrutiny unless there is some kind of clear accusations? Going on fishing expedition after the IRS has already found the tax returns fine is clearly a partisan move. And the assertion of, oh let's put people through trials and tribulations if they are innocent they will come out triumphant, is naive in our current age of kangoroo courts. It reminds me of those medieval witchhunts trials where the accused were put through trial by fire or by ordeal and if by miracle they survived, then that meant oh they were innocent.
