“On Clubhouse,”... “there are no screenshots. There is no way to drag up old Clubhouse posts years later like a user might do on Twitter. There is no way to record conversations -- meaning there is no way to prove that someone said anything controversial at all. There’s no path to accountability. Users on Clubhouse know, or at least believe, that they can openly speak their mind with zero repercussions.”This hot invitation-only app is ticking off a lot of people who are in the business of controlling what people think and say. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2 021/02/21/clubhouse_discourse_isnt_recorded_that_upsets_some_journalists_145278.html#! Can’t people record them? People were banned for inspiring and taking part in violence, also trying to overthrow the government. People have been banned from here for less. IP: Logged |

The 1st amendment states:Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Corporations can do whatever they want with free speech, its their corporation, not congress
Just like Randall can ban people from this site because its his company so he can do whatever he wants, it doesn't fall under congress restriction free speech
Same goes for Facebook, twitter and all the rest, the only reason they don't restrict is because it cuts into profits I guess their profits are more important than the democracy that allowed their company to flourish, jerks (im talking about Zuckerberg in particular) IP: Logged |

Yet people who advocate for wiping out Israel were not banned. Yes, the First Amendment only applies to the government. However, these platforms should have their liability protections removed.IP: Logged |

True that. But, when businesses take a privilege from government...section 230 exempting them from suits...they have to live within the rules of the exemption. Social media companies are not performing as 'open platforms' for discussions. They're acting like news editors and violating the terms of their privilege. IP: Logged |

Regarding Clubhouse, the Maoist show trials have begun and it's really something. Watching a horde of Visigoths condemn and castigate Bret Weinstein as a "transphobic eugenicist natcissist" then demand he redeem himself with a hefty donation to the cause. ... whew. you cant buy the level of entertainment. Why should they be publicly shamed, and by whom? IP: Logged |

^ Glad it's only the 'cake' in that instance... But what if (for example) these (faux) christians are owners of a small town 'pharmacy' who are supposed to dispense life-saving meds to customers. IF they 'identify' by prescriptions that the customer requires meds for (e.g.) HIV AIDS-- (and other stigmatized conditions) -- they could use their 'cake' reasoning. Give them an inch, and they'll take a MILE? On the other hand--- This makes me question WHY the Gays are not financially supporting other gay-owned/gay-friendly businesses? These so-called christians are in a minority. PLUS-- Why FORCE the issue with bakers who cook with hate and bad vibes, and who would NOT be beyond putting toxic ingredients and filth into same-sex Wedding cakes {without detection}? Some of these 'Christians' are capable of evil, and use the Bible to rationalize doing HARM. Don't trust them. Don't support them through purchases of their products and services. They are fully able to be void of having a Good Conscience towards other human beings whom God Made and Loves EQUAL to themselves. IP: Logged |

Judge not lest ye be judged, Mirage. You have no right to claim they are faux Christians. That's not your call to make. They had no problem selling to anyone. The couple could have bought any cake they wanted. Therefore, your pharmacy analogy falls flat. They just didn't want to support a gay wedding by creating a specialized cake forb them. Right or wrong, that is only God's place to judge them. Some might call you a faux Christian for supporting abortion, might they? No one should judge you, and you should not judge them. The Court upheld their sincerely held religious beliefs. Just like the nuns who didn't want to support certain types of birth control that they equate to abortion.IP: Logged |

They’re not faux Christians, they’re just bad Christians. Christ would not have refused someone food based on any category of race class gender etc, that a the whole point of Christ. He loved everyone IP: Logged |

The thing about Christ is He presumably also loved the moneychangers he whipped, and the adulteress he commanded to "sin no more", and the Jewish rabbis he called "children of hell" IP: Logged |

How the wokerati did a coup on Clubhouse: https://youtu.be/-fUG6VQMc-c Basically some woke activist become moderator and kicked out people based on race and political opinion and the end result was a convo without diversity of opinion. Yeah, they are finding ways to game Clubhouse... lol
