Good for you. It can be a struggle, I understand. I'm not exactly where I want to be yet either. But we can see and feel the difference between fear and love. So do whatever it takes. Keep joy front-and-center in whatever way you can.

No, the vaccine isn't killing people. We can carry the same viral load, but most aren't nearly as affected, as the unvaccinated are. Of course people can carry something without dying from it - this wouldn't be the first disease that this is true of. There are people who are carriers of things of which they will never show symptoms, but that also doesn't mean they it will never hurt them.

I wonder how that unvaccinated politician in Maine is doing, and his wife. She had in her profile picture on facebook "I don't care if you've been vaccinated". they were mocking people for being at all careful. He has since told someone that he's very sick, and wasn't talking to anyone. His wife collapsed in the garage - she said so - and someone else said that she was doing okay, but I can't remember who that was.

When the covid panic started March 2020 I foolishly read and believed a mathematical speculative model of transmission put forward (on medium.com) by a fellow Oregonian. My perspective was skewed by that worst case scenario nonsense. It was way wrong and I was wrong.

I stopped in my tracks, stopped reading speculation. I did my own research by reading reports from scientists and doctors from around the world. I read dozens and dozens of articles by scientists and front line doctors, watched interviews with them, and reshaped by understanding. I'm thinking dominant in my personality, rational and intentional in my learning.

Since you seem to lean center/left politically, maybe you'll give an ear to what lifelong Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr has to say about the situation. You can look up his work with Children's Health Defense.

You could also ask Dr. Fauci why he did a 180-turn from this ...
Dr Fauci on 60 Minutes - You Don't Need A Mask! ... even though in most jurisdictions around the world case counts of covid spiked or went steadily up last year even after mask-up social mandates were well in place in many places. That's the chronological before-and-after test. If masks worked at all they would have at least been able to 'flatten the curve', which was what all the talk was early on. Or the mask wearing would have created a downturn in case counts. But no, not so. All across the US we have a really good epidemiological comparison between states and counties that did have mask mandates versus those that did not. Masks did not suddenly start working after they weren't working.

You are perfectly free to wear a mask, but if yours works then you don't need anyone else to wear one. Same with a vaccine.

What I'm suggesting is that the mask is really a security blanket for those who have bought into the germophobia, who watch the toxic news, and believe all the hype with the skewed and fraudulent covid stats.

It comes down to bodily autonomy. The state does not own the person or their body.

I support people who say 'no' no matter their reasons, no matter their politics.

Fine, your body your choice. So why don't people understand "my business, my choice" when people want to protect their workers and customers? If you don't want to get vaccinated, that's fine. But don't expect some restaurants to let you sit and eat there, if they require vaccines. Same for the movies, or concerts. I doubt that everything will involve mandatory vaccines, but for those who require them, why not respect THEIR choice?
