Not a mask in sight; which highlights the reality – Democrats do not even believe their own message. It’s not really hypocrisy because they know the mask narrative is a fraud. I spend time, energy, and holistic care on fortifying my immune system so that I don't really have to worry about Covid nor most things (unless the pathogens in question are super strong and infectious, like lymes, malaria, etc and Covid is just not in the same category of these).

Really good masks are only partially and temporarily effective at best anyways. But even with that so, if I happen to be around some elderly people, morbidly obese, and/or very unhealthy people, I will wear a mask if I have to come in close proximity with such folks, if only to make them feel better and to slightly decrease potential transmission.

Otherwise, I don't wear them, because I have no fear of Covid whatsoever for self. And I would much prefer to build up natural immunity to it than using an experimental and not well tested pseudo vaccine. As I've said, nature is still yet wiser and more balanced than humans and human knowledge.

Last time I had my childhood slew of vaccines when age 8 or so, I ended up being paralyzed from the waist down for about a week. Was not fun, and that experience made me look more deeply and critically into modern vaccines than most do. What I found is that modern vaccines, are a mixed bag and both their ingredients and the overall method of giving them, could and SHOULD be improved, and if they were, they would cause less problems.

The very first vaccines developed were not only effective, but safer. There is a whole list of reasons why. Less toxic preservatives, only one was given at a time (and not many given in general), no live or attenuated forms were used, etc.

For the record, my politics is very leftist. I'm to the left of both Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein. But that won't keep me from agreeing with people far more conservative than me when common sense makes it obvious where lies are being layered upon lies.

I do not trust big pharma, because they have no integrity.

CDC is a front for big pharma. They have no integrity.

People in Washington, DC are surrounded by K-Street lobbyists for for-profit corporations constantly pressing upon them. It happens even less obviously with the agencies of supposed science. If you think that they're in it for public benefit, think again. They are chartered for profit and profit above all else.

Letting go of your bodily autonomy because you've been told you might 'kill someone' shows how easily you can be misled away from your own internal guidance — your conscience.

It's a control game that goes beyond mere profit. It's an attempt to turn current capitalism into a technocracy with controls outside governments with no democratic input whatsoever.

It's time to stop the partisan finger pointing and unite together against this attempted robbery of personal freedoms and our rights of bodily autonomy. If a left-of-liberal leftist like me can find common ground with evangelical conservatives on this, then anyone can do it.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.

Cast it out and let's return to loving our brothers and sisters, even if it is for the first time.

Thank you, Kannon! Your entire post is opening the way for me to say something.

For the past week, I had been wanting to start a thread about fear, and the need to let go of that fear. I, along with all the unvaccinated I talk to are very afraid of the relentless demonization and the bullying.

Special interest groups have conspired to scare half of the population with Covid, and the other half with the threat of the loss of their basic rights. Fear is currently governing us.

I decided I was not going to live my life enslaved to fear anymore. It felt great to let go of the fear, but it is a daily challenge.

ETA: I could start a thread about it, but I am not ready. There are times when I wake up and I feel that abject fear. And there are times when I wake up and I feel fine, at peace with my decision, knowing that the Universe has my back.
