I love Bill Maher, and he is entitled to his opinion. I don't expect anyone to agree with me all the time.

The cynical side of me thinks Bill Maher doesn't even believe what he is saying here. It's all strategic. Maher has been talking about issues that the left has not handled well, and he is in danger of being canceled by them. So once in a while, he has to wave the red flag of TDS in front of the bullish left to keep them happy and say, Hey, I'm still one of yall!

Yeah, I am convinced Bill is just fronting. He is a very smart man and he knows Trump doesn't even have the power to orchestrate a coup.

How do you orchestrate a coup when you don't have the powerful media on your side? when the FBI is against you? When the CIA -the infamous Coup Meisters, lol, who have carried out more coups than any other organizations in the world- is against you? When all the afore-mentioned entities are actively working to crush you?

If Trump would manage to orchestrate a coup with all those odds against him, then he would have to be GOD, and I would bow to him.

ETA: I am not saying Trump cannot win an election fair and square. I am saying he cannot win by doing a "coup".

1st gentle reminder that Maher is an entertainer, a literal comedian/actor, who relies on ad revenue and viewer count.

2nd gentle reminder that Maher once hosted another talk show - Politically Incorrect. That show was canceled when he disputed then President Bush's remark that the 9/11 hijackers were "cowards". Nosediving your plane into a building may be wrong, said Maher, but it was not cowardly. He was blasted by every talking head available and his show was promptly pulled off the air.

Don't think for a minute he'll cross that line again.

I don't think people understand what fascism is and what democracy is anymore, since these terms have been perverted by media misuse.

A lib friend of mine recently told me that Trump would undermine our democracy. I personally don't even want Trump to run again, but I had to laugh.

I asked him, what "democracy" do you speak of? The one where medical dissent is not tolerated? The one where Dr. Mercola has been named by POTUS an Enemy of the State? The one where people are losing their jobs for refusing the jab? The one where parents have no say in the medical health of their children? The one where parents cannot voice their concerns at school board meetings without being declared domestic terrorists? He has not gotten back to me. I hope he is pondering the meaning of democracy.
