She is only 18 now, and was thrust into the spotlight at the age of 15. I give her plenty of passes because she is very young and she is entitled to her opinion. The points made in the video regarding the young generation's addiction to electronics and tech gadgets are profound, and perhaps those youths who are clamoring about the environment will understand the real sacrifices they will have to make if they truly want to have a climate change they want. ETA: She is looking and sounding unhinged, and I am concerned about her mental health... I hope her parents make sure she is okay. IP: Logged |

Greta has had all the 'passes' she's going to get from me. The changes these loony tunes leftists, including Greta say they want would kill more than a billion people world wide. It's not difficult to see what happens when fossil fuels are banned. I've had it with the lunatics. IP: Logged |

I understand the emotionalism when people truly believe that all or most climate change is being caused by humans. People have been propagandized and brainwashed for decades now to believe that. If I believed it too, I would be pretty emotional about it as well. And it makes sense to believe that, after all, the only variable that seems to be different right now is human population and output. I do think humans might be contributing a bit to climate change, but it's also clear to me there are major cycles of change that take place over 12, 000 or so year periods that relate to the Sun and the Earth's core in relation to the Galactic Core, which far more powerfully influence climate than humans. Another ice age in the near future is quite likely. Looking at the long term records, it always warms up noticeably right before an ice age that ends up lasting longer. When this does happen, people will be clamoring for greater warmth. Human populations have always thrived during these shorter periods of greater warmth, while they have suffered during the more normal and longer lasting periods of greater cold. With that said, pollution is very much a problem still and we need to clean that up. We are having a definite effect on the earth and on ourselves, especially in relation to health, in that regard.
