The study size is rather small, 77 people. But the findings are consistent with the immunology science we have accumulated for more than 100 years. A 2008 study found that survivors of the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918 STILL HAD IMMUNITY!! Flu survivors still immune after 90 years

There’s no reason to believe that what we know about immunology would change just because of Covid. This also means Omicron is a real blessing. Cold like symptoms and then lifetime immunity. It has taken over as the dominant variant, and we will all get it. This will put an end to Covid as a threat. It runs through a population very quickly and with a great reduction in hospitalizations as compared to the now much less prevalent Delta.IP: Logged |

This is 22 days old, but explains why infections with the new variant are mostly less severe after previous infection with other variants or vaccination,
despite the fact that Omicron evades part of the immunisation by same (my English might be not great here). http://www.statnews.com/2021/12/01/a-reason-for-optimism-on-omicro n-our-immune-systems-are-not-blank-slates/ We have all symptoms of Omicron now, test result tomorrow or saturday.
Symptoms quite mild, although definetely a virus.
We hoped to get it as long as we still have good anti bodies,
to have longer lasting immunity after we had I guess the Delta 3 months ago very badly. Hope we will have life long somewhat immunity against future variants then.
I could imagine that to happen, since we had two very different types then.
I do believe you have (almost or totally) life long immunity against the variant you had
and the same length of protection for other variants, just the effectivity might be less, so you might get ill, but less severely. My brain is not working perfectly right now, there might be some logical mistakes (?)

As of now I have not seen a single study which shows people dying after a re-infection.A close friend got COVID THRICE with a gap of several months between infections, the intensity just kept reducing. Natural Immunity is the BEST for the long term. IP: Logged |

Got the results, we are positive and also see it positive, as a christmas present. 🎅🎄
Symptoms were a bit worse than yesterday in the first half of the day, but now almost gone (fluctuating).I'm also thankful for the spiritual experiences/growth each illness brings, they seem to come often at spiritually and/or astrologically meaningful times.
We wouldn't want to miss these opportunities. 🌌☀️🌌 IQ, thanks, good to know that what we experience regarding the (re-)infections, seems to be normal. A wonder-ful Christmas to everybody around the globe. ☃️🎄🕯️🎄🏔️ IP: Logged |

Thank you very much for reminding me on what you told me during our first covid infection, which has helped us tremendously and quickly back then...🙏
We're already better than the last days, in total not at all comparable with the first time, although we 'sinned' a bit with christmas cake. 😚
We are cooking healthy though, eating not too much acid producing things and sleeping enough, having deepgoing dreams/experiences.
