...People whose opinions on the Russia/Ukraine war they do not agree with. ie, Tulsi Gabbard, Tucker Carlson, etc...This is modern McCarthyism, people. If you don't know what the McCarthyism which hunt of the 1950s was, get a book and educate yourself! They are using The View to test the terrain and see if they can start ramp up censorship and intimidation of dissidents. People need to start pushing back. IP: Logged |

McCarthy, as it turns out, was largely right.When we use "McCarthyism" as shorthand for unreasonable, unfounded accusations and coordinated legal prosecutions against the innocent, we are parroting a false narrative created by the very forces McCarthy unsuccessfully attempted to flush out of the system. And if anyone is under the impression those forces were no more than one man's paranoid delusion, you might want to take another look at the the current state of our academic, military, and political institutions. proof is in the pudding, yeah?
