Actually, closing down the pipeline (shutting off American energy when we are energy independent) decreases supply, thus increasing the cost of gas. No, the president doesn’t “set the price,” but policies do set the tone. Let’s be clear. The far left have wished for high gas prices for years in order to push green energy. Biden doesn’t care that families are hurting. It is a casualty of war—acceptable losses—a means to an end. And diesel will be at $10 by summer’s end. That increases the price of everything else that trucks deliver, especially food. When we are buying oil from somewhere else, we are still leaving a carbon footprint—just paying more for it to get it delivered, actually increasing that footprint. This policy is insane. Buying dirty oil from Venezuela instead of getting our oil from home just because the left hates the industry is absurd. The left needs these high prices because without them, wind and solar cannot compete with fossil fuels. And ladies and gentlemen, that is it in a nutshell. Leftists, educated.
