True, but can you let me at least pretend that it takes away the majority for the Dems in name even if not in spirit? She will caucus with the Dems, but now she can vote against the Dems’ insane fiscal policies and still keep her local constituency happy. And Dems can’t officially primary her now as a threat for her doing so, although, if she runs again, she will have to run against both parties. But yeah, she will be voting the same way she always have. She votes with Biden 93 percent of the time.

As an Independent, she will just continue to take independent votes away from the Republicans, while siding with democrats most if not all of the time.
