Biden laughs at Marjorie Taylor Greene pinning 2020 fentanyl deaths of two brothers on him

He didn't laugh at the mother, or her two sons. You really are a piece of work.

TRUMP was in the White House, when it happened. It was Trump's federal response, this mother was criticizing.

In September, 2015, Republican Senator from New Hampshire, Kelly Ayotte, introduced a bill that called for "a 10- to 20-year prison term for anyone convicted of distributing certain amounts of fentanyl and would have reduced the quantity of the drug necessary to trigger stiff prison sentences."

The Democrats also introduced a bipartisan companion bill to Ayotte's. These bills went nowhere because the Senate was trying to pass a broad criminal justice reform bill that called for reducing mandatory sentences for drug offenses. Some members thought Ayotte's bill would undermine the effort and even threaten its passage so the bill never came up for a vote.

The bill was reintroduced in 2017 by House Republican Thomas J. Rooney, but also went nowhere.

It took Congress until December 2017 to pass a bill specifically targeting fentanyl — nearly four years after legislators first received warnings about the dangers of the drug. In that time, more than 67,000 Americans had died from overdoses of fentanyl and other synthetic opioids. Fentanyl death rates are still rising.

The pharmaceutical lobby, a massive political donor, fought bills that would have criminalized the illicit manufacturing and distribution of fentanyl and its many chemical cousins. The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, a trade group, said in a statement to The Post that such legislation could hamper research. Legal fentanyl often is used for pain management in hospitals.

The industry successfully lobbied Congress to pass a bill limiting the Drug Enforcement Administration’s powers to disrupt the drug companies’ distribution of opioids. President Barack Obama signed it into law in 2016.

“The work by Congress has been absolutely dismal, disappointing and ineffective,” said Rep. David Trone (D-Md.), whose 24-year-old nephew died of a fentanyl overdose in 2016 while alone in a hotel room. “I really think they need to talk fentanyl, fentanyl, fentanyl. That word should come off everybody’s lips.”

Given how slowly Congress acts and the urgency of the crisis, it seems to me that closing the border and shutting down the drug cartels is the most effective solution, yet the Biden Administration has failed to address what is a national security issue. This needs to be included as an article of impeachment against Biden for failing to uphold his oath of office.

Biden has no empathy. I believe he is a textbook example of a sociopath. He also didn't care for the people that he left abandoned in Afghanistan. Or the frontline workers he wanted to fire for not getting the jab. Yes, Biden was referring to Greene, but it was only at the very beginning of his mockery. He owes this woman an apology for his callous response. Do you think she will ever receive it? Of course not. She is not likely to have voted for him, so Biden doesn't care.

Okay, we might be getting some medication for my cat, tonight or tomorrow, so I won't be available for insults. Just letting you all know.

I’m in the ER with my cat. Ready to yell at someone, so I stop crying for a bit.
