With the two recent "oops wrong house" shootings in mind ....

So vid of the Chicago riots are still coming out. Bus driver beaten, lone woman beaten in a doorway.

The general response was, as usual, mild to no shock. Part and parcel of life in the big city. Meanwhile the newly elected mayor scolds anyone uppity enough feign outrage ....

Democratic Chicago Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson defended a large group of teenage rioters that ransacked much of the city on Saturday, saying it "wasn't constructive" to "demonize" them. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/new-chicago-mayor-defends-teenage-rioters-says-it-s-not-constructive-to-demonize-them/ar-AA19YtTM

The media coverage has been surreal. Possibly my fav being NBC calling the riots "large gatherings downtown" lol

vid of the White woman being beaten by the Black mob .. http://twitter.com/Doza_said/status/1648000258775871489

Comment in that thread by a Black man claiming to be a Chicago school teacher is worth considering, "As a black man, who’s worked in Chicago high schools for the past decade, I can honestly say that this doesn’t have **** to do w/ access to opportunities or community centers. This behavior comes from a lack of accountability paired w/ little to no consequences for this behavior." Too bad this guy isn't mayor.

Last I read only 15 arrests
