Signal: Congressional Democrats attack the separation of powers between co-equal branches of government.

Noise: Democrats allege ethics violations by Conservative Justices. For example:

quote:
...reports alleging Justice Clarence Thomas violated ethics rules by not disclosing vacations he took with his friend and billionaire Harlan Crow, which Thomas said colleagues told him was not reportable as “personal hospitality” from a close friend.

Yet, liberal justices have taken actions that Democrats have not called into question:

quote:
Sonia Sotomayor amended her financial disclosures to include trips paid for by a third-party,

Justice Jackson noted on her nominee disclosure that she previously omitted information about consulting income her spouse “periodically receives from consulting on medical malpractice cases.”

In 2010, Justice Ruth Bater Ginsburg accepted an award from the Woman’s National Democratic Club.

In a 2019 amicus brief, Democratic Senators Sheldon Whitehouse, Mazie K. Hirono, Richard Blumenthal, Dick Durbin, and Kirsten Gillibrand said the Supreme Court “is not well” and proposed it be "restructured in order to reduce the influence of politics."

Of course, what these Democrat senators really object to is the influence of politics they don't like of the conservative majority.

During last Tuesday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Supreme Court ethical standards, Senator John Kennedy stated:

quote:
“They aren’t getting their way, so they want to change the rules,” Kennedy said. “But the constitution is in the game…The constitutional separation of powers means that no branch of the federal government can dictate how another should govern itself as black letter law.”

You mean the judges who have been taking bribes for decisions? Bribes from republicans.

I’m just sitting outside a store, waiting for my dad to pick me up, and reading about yet another mass shooting in Texas. Spare me the lies about democrats unjustly attacking corrupt Republican judges who make up the swamp rump claimed he would clear out.

As usual, you're full of IT, unless you can document, from a reliable source, NOT A TWITTER
MORON, which republican bribed which judge and what did the bribe consist of.

Senate Democrats want to withhold security funding for Supreme Court Justices unless they "abide by their wishes and rule accordingly."

I’m sure teasel approves, since it’s a D and not an R.
