was it the manager who called the police because 2 black dudes wanted to stay in Starbucks without buying coffee or anything, and were treating Starbucks as their private "office"?

I remember that case. Sheer insanity that the woke BLM crowd made it into a case of anti black discrimination.

No, she wasn't in the store at that time. It was Starbucks' way of showing the protesters that they took some kind of action. She received $600,000 in compensatory damages, and the $25 million was punitive. I think that was too low to be punitive enough to stop Starbucks from doing this again and also to deter others from the same. As a result of the two being arrested, anyone can now sit in Starbucks an extended period of time without making a purchase.
