This is the end of affirmative action in colleges and universities. The Court ruled 6/3 that this practice violates the Equal Protection Clause of 14th Amendment. This is a landmark ruling that reversed years of precedent and a case from 19 years ago.

I approve. I detested the soft bigotry of low expectations.

Hopefully now the black community can focus on demanding that the schools in their communities actually doing their jobs and teach the much needed academic subjects.

They should demand the feds allocate more money for tutoring programs be allocated to high schools and middle schools to help those students who want to compete for access to those elite colleges.

Lastly, and I say this as a black person, I hope the black community start valueing academics excellence more than it values sports and dancing, or at least that it values these things equally. Excellence goes where the focus goes.
