As you know by now, President Trump is skipping the republican primary debate hosted on and by Fox News.Instead, President Trump has done a sit-down interview with Tucker Carlson which will be streamed at the same time as the republican primary debate....about 9pm Wednesday (tonight) 8-23-2023. This is one of the streaming sites where the Carlson/Trump interview can be seen. There may be others, including Twitter (X) but this is the only other I could find and it's the one I intend to watch.

Did he have to hold his interview at the same time as the debate in which he has refused to participate?I mean, what is the rationale for him to pick the exact same time? To those of us who are not drunk on the Trump booze, it looks petty. DT doesn't play well with others... IP: Logged |

The rationale for Trump holding a counter programming event to the Fox primary debates is simple. Fox News tried to set Trump up.....just like Fox did in the 2016 primary debates. This was all about getting Trump. Instead, Trump turned the tables on the Trump haters at Fox...including the Murdochs, Paul Ryan, Cavuto and others and blew Fox News away with more than 231 million views. More people saw Trump in 46 minutes with Tucker than would have seen Trump in 10 debates on Fox News. That's a 2fer.
