Love him or hate him, Vivek was the only one to say he would stop supporting Ukraine. Everyone has been attacking him the whole night, but he is knocking them all out. Greatest moderators ever! I like Scott, but he is lost in the crowd. DeSantis is putting on a good showing. Christie is toast. So is that other @ss clown to the right of him. Pence is struggling. Haley is passionate but all she does is attack Vivek.

It will be interesting to see the polls after this debate. I think Vivek will take the lead—not by taking votes from President Trump, but by taking votes from DeSantis. But we shall see.

I just tuned in in time to see Haley wreck Vivek. That was excellent. I don’t support any of them, but it would be nice to see one of the least insane, actually get the nomination.

Have they discussed the guns that are killing so many children in this country? Or are they just going to give some out as gifts, maybe? Like Oprah.

Haley didn’t wreck Vivek. You just like what she said. Did you also like her comments that “biological boys don’t belong in the locker rooms of any of our girls”? Haley also clarified on Hannity (post debate) that “ALL of the charges against him [President Trump] are political.” Haley didn’t let any felines out of paper sacks. Everyone already knew about Republicans’ spending. That spending she referenced was necessary to deal with Covid. I think what you are talking about was what she said about Republicans wanting more pork in the budget than Dems—not that they actually got it. Paying attention and listening is a skill you should hone. Guns aren’t the problem. You have been brainwashed to think that. The problem is mental illness. And dangerous pharmaceuticals. The main way to protect school children is more guns, not less. Gun-free zones are also the problem.

For some reason, reddit emailed me a thread from their conservative forum. I only lurk in a few places there, and definitely not the conservative area.

As expected, they hated the sanest candidates on the stage. Someone thought Deathsantis did well. I saw that strange attempt at a smile, after he gave an answer he thought was amazing. Maybe it was nerves.

Sanest? What do people who want to cut off the genitalia of children know about sanity? DeSantis had some good answers, but he needed to really stand out, and I’m not sure he was able to do so in most viewers’ eyes. He seems nervous. Scott had no great moments. Pence was lifeless and pathetic with his canned and rehearsed speeches. Asa was horrible. He reminded me of Biden with his lack of mental acuity. The other governor didn’t fare much better than Scott—great answers but no wow factor. Haley cemented why she really has no chance. The biggest elephant in the room (literally) got booed almost off the stage. He was just comic relief, but he didn’t know it. That only leaves Vivek. It was his first debate ever. He said a lot that President Trump’s base wanted to hear. If I didn’t know better, I would think he was a proxy for President Trump—working with him to take out the weak links fast and injure the strong ones. Let’s face it—all of the other seven are bought and sold just like he said they were. I don’t care for Vivek; nor do I trust him. But he was the front leader. The winner? The viewers! They got to see a very lively debate between a combination of two distinct categories—those with zero personalities and complete @ss clowns—get eviscerated by an individual with with zero political experience. Vivek is a revolutionary. Everyone on that stage knows climate change is a hoax. Haley was at least brave enough to lie and say it was real. The others cowered and didn’t answer. But Vivek cut straight through the BS. It was entertaining. He will grow past DeSantis, who I feel will has lost further ground. It is clear now that he is running for VP. I am already anxiously looking forward to the second debate and In seeing how many of these losers will have dropped out.

Belage, it was a free-for-all. The moderators allowed a lot of leeway. Vivek said President Trump was the best President of the 21st century. He wants to eliminate several alphabet agencies, including the IRS. It was a wild ride.
