First of all, Section 3 of the 14th Amendment was created to apply to the Civil War. Of course, Jack Smith didn't mind using obscure laws inapplicable to President Trump and stretching the parameters of those laws beyond comprehension. Secondly, for Section 3 to even remotely apply, President Trump would have had to be charged with insurrection, which he hasn't. Third, President Trump must be found guilty. And lastly, President Trump would have to go through all of his rights of appeals, which undoubtedly would include the Supreme Court. States cannot just arbitrarily and capriciously remove a candidate from the ballot under the authority of the 14th Amendment. The Dems are really losing their collective minds, and they don't care about the law. "Get President Trump at any cost!" Why do they fear him so much? Why not just let the voters decide? Surely Biden would beat him, right?
