Deathsantis doesn't want his citizens to feel the relief from inflation costs- costs that didn't go up because of Biden, but because companies just decided to go with it.

Trump also claimed he helped to raise the price of gas, around the time of the election in 2020. So... why don't republicans want this for their people?

Biden’s energy policies directly caused inflation. And gas got so low under President Trump that he had to raise it. Oil companies were giving gas away because they literally couldn’t afford to store it, and President Trump filled our emergency reserves with it.
