A prison guard says she was forced to stay at her post during labor pains. Texas is fighting compensation for her stillbirth. http://www.texastribune.org/2023/08/11/texas-prison-lawsuit-fetal-rights/ The seven-months-pregnant officer reported contraction-like pains at work, but said she wasn’t allowed to leave for hours. The anti-abortion state is fighting her lawsuit, in part by saying her fetus didn’t clearly have rights.

The State of Texas said that her fetus didn't clearly have rights!!!So, which is it? You want abortion banned, a six-week limit, when a lot of girls and women don't even realize they're pregnant at that point. But a woman whose seven months pregnant, and loses her baby, after being made to stay at work for hours - that baby had no rights? These ***** enacted that bounty hunter law, two years ago this month. But her baby had no rights. IP: Logged |

First of all, your fake outrage isn't impressive because you also don't believe the fetus has any rights yourself, and you fully support aborting it. Secondly, according to the article you posted, Texas' legal argument has legal merit because this event happened seven months before Roe v. Wade was overturned. So, are you arguing that a fetus has rights? In so doing, are you also saying that you agree with the overturning of Roe?IP: Logged | |
