Judge Tosses Documents Case Against Trump; Jack Smith Appointment Unconstitutional

A federal judge in Florida threw out the prosecution of former President Donald Trump on Monday in the “documents” case because she ruled that Special Counsel Jack Smith had not been appointed in a constitutional or lawful manner.

Judge Aileen Cannon granted a defense motion after ruling that Smith, who was not confirmed by the U.S. Senate as other U.S. Attorneys have been in the past, could not lawfully bring the indictment against Trump in federal court.

“In the end, it seems the Executive’s growing comfort in appointing ‘regulatory’ special counsels in the more recent era has followed an ad hoc pattern with little judicial scrutiny,” Cannon wrote, according to a CNN report......

The coup? There was no coup. This was the classified docs case. You are just showing your ignorance. Smith was not authorized to spend any money in his witch hunt. Over $12 million in taxpayer funds wasted.

Garland put in his bestie to go after President Trump with no statutory authority to do so. You can’t just pick any schmuck. Justice Clarence Thomas even brought it up. The Jan. 6 case should also be dismissed.

The dems don't care. The judge's dismissal is no skin off their noses because it's not costing them any money. They are not being held accountable and required to reimburse the money spent on those witch hunt cases. While it's costing Trump a fortune to keep defending himself.

That means the dems can continue to use our tax payers money to pursue other cases against Trump. Their goal is to barrage Trump with a multitude of cases left and right to distract him and financially drain him. It's a numbers game. Some of those cases will stick, some will not...
